ONCE A XAVIERITE , ALWAYS A XAVIERITE.

While searching for a good college along with St.Xavier's I also applied to different colleges which included Gujarat Law School for BCA, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University for BBA where I almost got my admission in pdpu college but my only reason not attending these colleges was that I being from a COMMERCE stream was aiming to go for a technical course like BCA, and I found Xavier's curriculum to be better from any of these colleges and decided to go for St.Xavier's College, and I think it to the most appropriate and correct decision I made. The best part about Xavier's is it allots merit based admission at cut-off of 55%-60% with the age limit above 17 and below 20. The application mode to apply for Xavier's college is Online. The College also provides the students with hostel facilities(if one opts for it) Xavier's men's hostel is within the campus while the women's hostel resides 1.5km far.

COURSE: I am from the BCA department. I had heard a lot about St.Xavier's from my seniors, about how amazing its campus life is, also its beautiful infrastructure, academic life, the variety of talented people from different cultures and backgrounds. After hearing all this I was inspired to get my admission done in St.Xavier's Ahmedabad. And when I visited my college it was a completely mesmerizing experience for me, I liked Xavier's because of the amazing Infrastructure it provides includes a huge green playground for cricket, volleyball, and football, it also has a basketball court in there. We are also provided with supercomputer labs. FACULTY AND THEIR TEACHING METHODS: I was also impressed to see its academically the faculties to be so trained and experiences and well vers with the knowledge they oat to provide their students. RATIO: The qualification of the faculty is remarkable all the teachers have the Masters qualification in computer application.

Here is Xavier's students are provided with various internship opportunities with good enough stipends offered, companies like LEADGURU, CAREER360, EAT MEDIA, and many others provide a role of a campus Ambassador. And companies like BIZMARVEL, WORLD VASTRA, SOLUBAB provides internships related to WEB DEVELOPMENT. When a student opts for a campus Ambassadors role his\her role will be to promote the scheme or programs in the college campus and make awareness to their friends regarding the role in the internship

CAMPUS PLACEMENT: From the 5th Semester students are eligible for campus placements. NAME OF COMPANIES VISITED for software development are ORACLE, MICROSOFT, WIPRO, INFOSYS and the companies for system administrator are CITIBANK, HLL, P&G and many such big companies. PACKAGES, here you'll get up to 3 lakhs per annum job to the max. THE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING HIRED in SXCA is 70%. My plans after getting a degree are to opt for higher studies and go for a masters degree.

FEES STRUCTURE: The cost to study in Xavier's Bca is rs.15000 as their lowest fees offered. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The college provides its students with the opportunity to learn new skills letting them participate in different internship programs for which the students get stipends. The student with inadequate financial resources are provided with scholarships. The college has a separate reserved fund for this purpose. Every year a number of scholarships, freeships and prizes are allotted to the students

FEST: The best part which I think about Xavier's college was its amazing CULTURAL FEST held by the college every year. It helps the students to showcase their talents and skills. LIBRARY: A library is at the disposal of the students, which are filled with a wide range of periodicals and magazines of Indian and foreign publications to provide them with up-to- date knowledge. AMENITIES: Supercomputer labs were set to house a computer with high computing facilities which were procured with DST funding. Several publications and International collaborations have been established based on this new laboratory. SPORTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES: The college campus provides huge playgrounds for volleyball, footfall, and cricket ground. It also has a basketball court and a tennis court. The college holds various clubs and activities too, like PGOP, NSS AND NCC programs. Also Xavierites are provided with an opportunity to showcase their talents in CULFEST every year.
