Remarks

I wanted to do MBBS but all our wishes are not always fulfilled. B.tech in biotechnology was my secondary plan. Gautam buddha university was one of the few universities which offer b.tech biotechnology without having maths on your boards. the basic criteria for admission were an entrance examination and a minimum of 55% marks on 12th boards along with a minimum of 45 marks in physics chemistry and biology. the admission process was very simple there was one entrance test and since I took admission during lockdown due to covid there was no physical counselling but there was online counselling after which we received our letter of admission. during march 2021 we got a chance to experience on-campus life for about 1 month and it was the best thing that I have experienced in my life.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

this course was my backup plan. our faculty is highly qualified and experienced and is really helpful. they help us with almost everything related to our course. our curriculum is very vast and gives us really in-depth knowledge about our subjects. From basics to advanced knowledge our curriculum contains it all.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We get many offers for internships every semester out of some are paid also and we also get a lot of experience from these internships. we get a basic idea of how life would be once we start doing a job.

Placement Experience

2

our university offers campus placements but they are not very good in terms of packages and offers that are offered to the students. my plan after getting the degree is to get a PhD in my subject and then go into research work.

Fees and Financial Aid

our fees are just moderate not really expensive but at the same time is also not on the cheaper side. our fees are around 1 lakh and 30 thousand. but the university also offers us scholarship of around 1 lakh for the economically weaker students

Campus Life

5

we have two annual fests abhivyanjana and shauryotsav. abhivyanjana is a cultural fest where there are different competitions organized by various clubs for eg the dance club organizes a dance competition. photography club organizes a photography competition, etc. students also perform individually in this event. on the other hand, shauryotsav gives the students a chance to show their talent on the sports field. our university grounds have a full-size hockey field, football field, cricket stadium, and various basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts. other than these there is a court in each hostel. other than this there is an indoor stadium, swimming pool, two gyms one for boys and one for girls. there are various clubs also like photography club, dance club, music club, literary club, etc. the classrooms and laboratories are really good with best technological support.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

in our university hostels are compulsory for every student. the fees are around 40 thousand per annum which includes hostel and mess charges. the rooms are big enough which contain a single bed an almirah and a study table along with a chair. the washrooms are clean and there is a water supply throughout the day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
