Course Curriculum Overview

I'm studying BCA and we are almost 60 students in one batch. College authority and management know-how to manage all the classes. One of my friends recommended this course. Dr Zakir jafer is PhD, he is a college principal. all the teachers teaching methods are good .my exams held every 6 months. most of the time exams are difficult.

Placement Experience

There is placement is held in our college. After the 5th sem placements are held. companies involved are hospitals, call centre, banks, automobile companies and open marketing. packages are dependent upon courses and knowledge.70% chances to get a job. To become self employed is my plans.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm doing BCA and there are 6 semesters. in one sem fees is 10,000. total sems fees are 60,000, there are scholarship schemes for low casts only for a year. we have to pay sem fees before exams and if we get late there are also penalty fees.

Campus Life

3.5

I am doing BCA. In the last two years, my campus life is amazing campus is made on 15,000 square feet. it's a huge building. In this building, other courses are available like,bca,bba,b.com, fashion designing, IT etc. There is a huge library and most of my free time I go to the library to gain new knowledge. there are many sports like kabaddi, badminton, volleyball etc. one official website of college is made by students run by students

Interview Experience

3

The admission process is easy. Mohit Kumar is the group discussion incharge .he leads us in all groups discussion, interview, written tests and the legal process. in the admission process first of I met with the help desk incharge she leads me about the courses and related fees then they ask about secondary school certificate, then they ask about to pay fees in account and then I got admission in college

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!
