Remarks

The University of Lucknow has many courses to study and other opportunities as well. It is one of the oldest university. It has a large library named Tagore Library which provides a no. of books to read and learn. Many cultural events and activities are organised and lead students to different levels in the country to show their talents. Admission is done by the entrance exam. Students are placed and given subjects according to their rank. I preferred this university because its old and provide good education in regional languages like Sanskrit, Urdu, etc. and also in my domicile state.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I took admission in BA. I have a keen interest in literature mainly Sanskrit. The course is for 3 years and has a semester system. The exams are taken every 6 months. A lot of students choose BA to start preparing for civil services. The faculty is nice and the teachers are on time. They are well qualified and have a nice way of teaching which increases the interest of students in a particular subject. There is a high ratio of students in BA. The semester exams are quite moderate not as difficult to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are around 4000 per semester. It includes everything sports, library, computer labs and other facilities. Recently University has launched ' Karmyogi scheme ' which provide part time jobs to students.

Campus Life

3

Cultural events and activities are organised from time to time. Every student has an equal opportunity to show their talent. Many competition is organised like poetry, painting, etc. including sports. Classrooms are big enough but don't have visual boards or speakers which I personally feel should be given. University has one of the biggest libraries so there is the availability of books and journals.

Interview Experience

3.5

Admission is done through the entrance examination. There is no personal interview. The pattern of the question paper is good. Covers every subject of the course you have applied for. A merit list is generated and students are given subjects according to their ranks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course structure was well designed and updated with the ongoing preparations of government exams which helped me alot in my preparations as everywhere polity is something that is a mandatory one and hence the curriculum plus the overall teaching pattern the timing of exams and the level of difficulty was moderate if someone had attended all the classes, plus the marking scheme was a bit hard and other aspects like attendance was also included, however there's no such compulsion that one must attend the classes this was only applicable for sessionals

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Event management seemed interesting but it's more work and less pay on every post The college did not provide any intenships or work so we had to do it on our own The college claims to give more practical learning and that's a lie they do not care about practical they just care about passing in the exams and attendance

Political science has good scope in future. It helps in understanding society, governance, etc. It should be quite practical not just theory based. It gets boring if we only study thoery. Sessional exams are there in 1 semester along with semester exam.
