Remarks
Always had an intention of getting into a better college. But as per my eamcet marks and rank, deccan was suitable. The deccan is good at teaching and infrastructure and many more. Bad at looking as it's a very old building. Admission process was simple rather complex. Needed to visit the college and submit the documents being asked. The reason was simple, minority college. I just surfed the web regarding it and got the deccan site.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was well structured. Always got interested in electrical things, that's why chosen EEE. The faculty-student ratio is good. The faculties were highly qualified and experienced enough in the field whatever they teach. The way they teach is also amazing and understandable. We use to have two-term exams per year combining total of 8 terms in four years of engineering.
Placement Experience
From 3-2, students get eligible to sit in the interviews for getting placed. Companies visit our campus for placements. The placement cell assists the final year students in preparing a professional resume, giving training for group discussion, and conducting mock interviews to develop confidence in students. Our seniors got placed in companies like Microsoft, Infosys, and Zetatek, etc. About 65% of students get placed each year. My plan is to look at placements after 3-1.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was okay. Not too high, not too low. Since last year, we can see some hike in the fee structure or say the cost to study at the deccan college as the government passed some new rules. Financial assistance is also available. I am now in my 3rd yr, so about to face interviews and all.
Campus Life
Life at deccan is good. We do have some events in our college like DIZARK which is usually held in September. The library is wide and full of books. Amenities in the classroom were well maintained. The sports section was also there.
Hostel Facilities
Yeah you will hostel facility near to your college there are many hostels near your college there are private and government hostels are available to average of 10000 rupees for a month there is no hostel available in college campus
Interview Experience
Yes you have to write an exam based on that exam your rank will get it after that you have to attend counseling where they will ask you which college do you want then you have to say that particular college and the course if the CD cell available you will get in that college admission
