Remarks

Starting off with an all girls' university, it was the safest university out there with 5 star facilities. The beautiful and well maintained campus can attract anyone but the quality of teaching and the placement cell makes Mody University even better! The admission process is very easy, we get three options; JEE ranking, Boards Percentage, and an entrance exam offered by Mody University. The admission process usually runs at its peak during May. The campus has 2 cafeterias, sports arena, horse riding field, an artificial lake, and tapovan. All the labs are well equipped, the placements are amazing, great companies show up, professors are very interactive and helpful. They provide specialised courses in collaboration with IBM. Talking about the in-campus hostels, there are single seater, double seater and more available, both AC and Non-AC. The mess serves the best tasting food compared to any other University's mess! They aim for a guaranteed overall development in this University.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose CSE with a specialisation in Big Data Analytics because it is in collaboration with IBM which provides industrial level training. The faculty here is amazing, they are interactive, are available, and helps in every aspect. The teaching method here is Project Based Learning for all the laboratory subjects and the timely evaluation makes it even better. Each semester has 2 exams; mid term and end term examination. The internals constitutes 10% of the evaluation process.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college offers many internship opportunities in great companies like Dell. The internship is compulsory in the third year of engineering and the college supports us in every possible way, from guiding and preparing us to bring in reputed companies.

Placement Experience

4.5

Starting from the 4th semester, we get internship offers and it continues till the 8th semester. The placements are quite decent. Numerous companies visit during placements with great packages. Almost all the students get placed here, thanks to the placement cell. Even I plan on sitting for in-campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship given to students who have a good rank in JEE, scored great in Boards, or get a rank in Mody University's entrance exam. The scholarship continues throughout the course of the degree if the Cgpa is maintained above 8.0. The fee they charge for the course really meets up the expectations. They prepare you enough to sit and crack most of the exams. The campus placements get amazing companies and great packages. The support and guidance from the placement cell are appreciable.

Campus Life

5

The campus is literally the best! They offer everything from sports to cultural activity clubs and even self development classes. The campus has a large sports arena, horse riding field and yoga classes. There are multiple cultural clubs and technical societies, even social service clubs. The library is huge! We even get a website where we can check if a particular book is available in the library or not. They send us emails informing us about the days left for re-issuing the book. The labs and classrooms are well equipped.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels have single seater, double seater and more available, both AC and Non-AC. The hostel fee depends upon which type you opt for. All the hostels have common washrooms. The mess serves 4 meals/day; Breakfast(including fruits), Lunch, Evening Snacks, and Dinner(including dessert). The food quality and variety are appreciable. Milk is available in the morning and night.

Birla Institute of Technology - [BIT], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
