What Students Say
Likes
- The best part was the infrastructure. It has a lush green campus with amazingly built buildings.
- The placements were also pretty good. Almost all the students get placed in my course every year.
- The university being an all girls University ensured safety of all the students because of which my parents were not worried about me.
Dislikes
- Faculty and teaching methods can be improved. Students needs more practical and hands on experience to get more familiar with the technologies.
- Campus life can be improved by conducting a good annual cultural fest and more events.
- As the students are less, there is not much competition which may lead to less innovation and ideas among students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was pretty good and it covered all the subjects that are essential for my course. But, there needs to more emphasis on practical and real world applications. The teaching method was pretty average. They focused more on theoretical concepts rather than hands on training. 2 exams are conducted every semester and it's difficulty level is medium.
Internships Opportunities
There are a few companies that visit for internship opportunities every year in the university such as visa, Barclays etc. They visit for summer interns with packages between 50k per month to 90k per month.
Placement Experience
Campus placement usually starts from the 7th semester. There were various companies that visited such as visa, Walmart, Barclays, hpe etc. I am not sure about the number of offers. Highest package was given by visa which was 32 lpa and average package was around 6 lpa. About 95% of the students got placed. I got a job offer too and I would be joining that company in a month.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee was high in my opinion. They do increase the fees a bit at times but it doesn't happen very frequently. The tuition fee of my course is approximately 9 lakhs. But the good part is they provide numerous types of scholarships based on class 12th marks and jee percentile. I got a placement from the University for the role of development engineer.
Campus Life
The annual fest is fdc which is organised every year by the university in the month of January. There is also a technical fest named droid which is conducted annually. There is a wide range of books available in the library. There were basic facilities provided in the classrooms. Extra curricular activities and sports is pretty good in the university. There are courts and grounds for almost all the commonly played sports and there are a lot of clubs for extra curricular activities.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities provided in the room includes bed, mattress, cupboard, side table, study table and all the basic needs. Meal was pretty good and healthy and had a variety of options. Taste can be improved a bit as it does not contain onion and garlic. The hostel is pretty expensive with charges around 2.5 lakhs per annum.
Admission
The admission process was pretty easy. The students can get admission either through an entrance test or through class 12th and jee score. Application dates usually starts around march every year and the application fees was around Rs 1000. There are various reservation quotas for the students of Rajasthan, north east students etc. The entrance test wasn't much difficult and it is only conducted once.
Faculty
In my opinion, the faculty of the university is pretty average. Well, as there aren't lot of students so faculty to student ratio is pretty good. But, the teaching methodology can be improved and more exposure to practical work can be imposed.
