Remarks

My college has a lot of good aspects and bad aspects as well. Now talking about the good aspects, I must say that our department had a studio where practical knowledge was given. We used to make talk shows, edit videos, anchor, and other related works. Also, our faculty were too supportive who were also there to guide us and to make us practically strong along with the conceptual knowledge. Further, the bad aspects were like we had to wait for 5 in the evening from morning 9 am just to attend two or three classes hardly. Multi-cuisine cafeterias were there but the expenses were too high. Other than this, there were library with so many books, journals, magazines, novels, sports complex, and other facilities were also provided to us. Further, to enroll myself to this college, I filled the application form in online mode along with the application fee of rs.1000/- that time. Also, I didn't appear in any entrance test or interview and these are the reasons I chose this college over other

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was well designed by the highly qualified and experienced faculties of our department. The course curriculum included core courses as well as optional courses in which we were taught advertising, graphics designing, print design production, print media, political science, English, French language, and others. Apart from that, we had several subjects like photography, basics in light and camera, anchoring in which practical portion was mode wide than the theoretical part. In all these, our faculty members played very important role in mentoring us. They used to take extra classes before each semester exam to make us revise all the topics which we were taught earlier. Also, they used to provide us with study material in PPT format and help us in making notes during lectures. So it was too easy for all of us to pass that exam without any difficulty.

Placement Experience

4.5

Truly speaking, the placement record for MBA students, engineering students were too good. But since I opted for BA in Journalism and Mass communication, the placement record of my department was not so good. Even we went for an interview program on our own. Hardly 8-10 students got placed from our batch and the highest package offered was 2 LPA. Also, the number of companies that visited our campus was 10-15 among which were some event management companies, TCI, Naukri.com, and others. Further, after posy completion of my undergraduate, I started working rather than going for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for my course was 87000 per year and so, I had paid 260000 in total excluding hostel and food outlay. Also, we used to pay 1000 extra fees before each semester exam as an examination fee. Moreover, one with a shortage of attendance i.e. less than 75% had to pay 2300 as a debarred fee, and if anyone used to get back in any subject had to fill back the form by paying 500 per subject. Also, there was no such scholarship scheme is our university and I don't have any idea about the educational loan.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college used to conduct an annual festival known as UNIFEST every year in the month of February-March and celebrities were invited to perform. Apart from that, many celebrities have paid visit in our college for the promotion of their film. Among them, the most popular was Padman's and Dishoom's promotional event. Moreover, we had literary club, dramatics Club, music club, dance club, photography club and other clubs as well. Above all Freshers day, Farewell party, convocation day along with alumni meet and other seminar conferences, celebration of festivals and small game events, quiz competitions were celebrated which made my campus life at Galgotias University lively and memorable.

From 5th semester students become eligible for internship and jobs related to their courses. Department provides numerous opportunities and offers to students for enrolling in different internships and they help you get that. In bajmc I haven't seen any senior getting enrolled in a news channel yet but they do provide internship opportunities at other companies which may be alright. Most students get placed for internship somewhere or the other. My plans after getting the degree is to get back to news.
