Review by a student

With the score in hand, I had narrowed down on the colleges I wanted to go to. IMT Nagpur being one of Oldest premier College, the brand name of IMT, and being in a prime location i.e Nagpur. To get into IMT Nagpur one must give the following entrance exams- CAT XAT CMAT GMAT After the student meets the eligibility criteria they are supposed to appear for the interview process which includes a group exercise that is very different from a group discussion that other colleges conduct. In a Group Exercise student is expected to work in a group of 6 or 7 rather than competing against each other and then the Personal Interview process comes next. The very first reason for me was the brand name of IMT and the rich Alumni base of the college. The second being quality of teachers that are present specially in Marketing. Third-the student life the work culture that is present in IMT Nagpur. Various communities and forums give student peak into the life after MBA and make them Corporate Ready

The course I chose was majors in marketing and minors in finance. One of the reason was me earlier being a BCom student I was well was the marketing technique and finance was a domain that always interested me. The student faculty ratio is 15:1 Most of the faculties are doctorates in the subject and having rich experience in the corporate world. The teaching method is very interactive faculty constantly conduct class evaluation no the students learning and gives assignment for the student to inculcate the learnings and put them in it. The term exams contains two aspects that is the assessment of learning as well as the end term exam. Beda good knowledge about the subject and constant participation in the class the exams go pretty decent.

The roles offered are of that of business development in HR marketing, Finance, and Operations. Companies like Crisil, Jio studios, Bata, IDBI, etc came for summer Placements. Start-ups like Zomato, Organics Food Market, Fyndhere, Go Desi Came to recruit for this year

Placements in IMT Nagpur a very decent with a 100% placement record and some students also got a PPO. The student becomes eligible right when he enters the 4th semester. The students get offers from reputed companies like 1. Aditya Birla 2. Amazon 3. Asian Paints 4. Blue Star 5.Ernst and Young 6. HCL 7.ICICI Bank and many more Students are offered an average package of 7.94 lpa why the highest being 16 lpa. Even I am looking for getting placed in one of the aforementioned Companies.

With the covid-19 the college did not increase its fee structure and kept it the same as the previous years. Scholarships offered are Entry-level scholarships for the student getting a high score in CAT or XAT. Then scholarship to students belonging to the EWS category. The students can get a financial assistant to any of the namely National as well as private banks. The college gives a decent amount of stipend for the summer internships.

Nagpur as various annual fest and tech fest to name a few are. M34-intra college event which has students participating from various streams. Melange-one of the biggest events conducted in IMT Nagpur where the current batch completes with the alumina on various grounds. Ranbhoomi-sports events where the current batch competes with the alumni for the coveted trophy. The M35-another big event in IMT Nagpur where students from around the country come to the campus for various events like dance music debates followed by DJ night. Netritva-HR conclave where the students are given an opportunity for learning and exploring various facets of the ever-evolving domain. IMT has 9 in-house sports facilities apart from that there are various cultural communities as well as social groups managed by the students. Promoting student-driven campus the student managers conduct events from A to Z. There are various Ventures academic forums and wait for another extra-curricular Committees as well.

IMT does not have GD it has a totally different exercise. Before the interview, we are expected to perform well in a group exercise in which we are supposed to give a sales pitch alongside other candidates. S for the personal interview the general questions about our self, the stream we are choosing and the questions relating to it, current affairs or they ask questions relating to a bachelor's of work experience if you have one. For the preparation, the candidate should have good knowledge about his bachelor's so it is advisable to skim through all the subjects that were taught apart from that good college about current affairs and cool state of mind which will with giving a lot of mock interviews.
