Entrance Preview

I didn't have a entrance exam in 2005. I had completed my diploma and based on diploma score of 67.63%, i had been admitted for B.Tech mechanical engineering. At that time there were a centralized admission process for Maharashtra. The Center was in Vishwakarma Institute of Technology ( VIT) Pune. While filling the admission form, we had to fill the list of preferred / interested colleges. Base on the scoring and preference list, the admissions were given.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course was systematically designed. First five semesters were the theory and practical papers. The last semester of six months was In-plant training in the listed industries. So i was trained in Siemens Ltd company located in Kalwa Mumbai. The course not only consist of technical subjects but also consists of electives like Research methodology, Operation Research, etc. Automobile engineering was my favorite subject.

Internships Opportunities

Two companies visited for the internship the details were as below. Simens India Stipent Rs. 3000 / Month, Godrej & Boyce -Stipent Rs.2000 / Month.

Placement Experience

Our 2005 batch was the pioneer batch ( First Batch ) of B.tech. 50 % students were placed. The details of the companies are as below. Godrej & Boyce Rs. 8000 per Month, Cognizant Rs. 18000 per Month, Videocon International Limited Rs.8000 per Month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The yearly fee was Rs. 14500.That we have to pay in advance of each year. So for Three years one has to pay Rs. 43500.

Fees and Financial Aid

As mentioned earlier, different types of scholarships were offered by our college. OBC,SC. I have availed PTC scholarship. It saved Rs. 12000 per year.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was so nicely designed. 80 Marks was theory and 20 Marks was practicals. There were enough time in between two papers so that we were getting enough time for revision. Whenever we got off lectures, we used to sit in Library for study.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement of this college is average, average package is 4.5 lpa most of the students are eligible from semester 7 The companies like Capgemini, Accenture, mind space, LTI, siemens, eclerx ,etc visited to college campus. In recent mind space give place about 12 lpa. Placement percentage is 80 percentage After getting degree my plan is for higher studies.

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.
