Remarks

JBIMS, also known as "The CEO factory" is one of the top MBA colleges in India. The institute has a legacy of 50+ years. Here the intake is less and one can get in here by being in the top scorers. This institute provides the best-experienced faculty of which most are corporate leaders and also happen to be the alumni of JBIMS. Placement here is never an issue. So to get admission to this institute, you can appear for CET,CAT,CMAT and need a score of 99.94, 99.99, and 99.98 percentile to get through. Generally CET is conducted in the second weekend of March, CMAT is conducted twice a year, once in summer and in winter. CAT is conducted in November but the date may vary as per situation. I prefer this college as this college is located in the capital center of Bombay, it has established the reputation to be one of the best college in the country and has very strong alumni network which are always helpful in providing corporate world experience and share their insights. Course Curriculum Overview

5

Having an interest in the production process, supply chain, and various other management aspects I chose MBA to be the best course to upgrade my knowledge and skills required to be competitive in this business world. This college provides the best experience theoretically as well as practically by conducting industrial visits to enhance our learning. The faculty to student ratio is 33:156 of which 7 are full-time faculty. This ratio will vary in a second year depending on your choice of specialization. The faculty here are mostly corporate leaders and are themselves the alumni of JBIMS, they teach by sharing their personal experience in the corporate world and shaping our minds. Here the semester pattern is being followed and the mode of the exam depends depending according to the situation.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Along with academics, the college also provides opportunities for on-campus internships. Various renowned companies like accenture, JSW, amazon, Cisco, dalmia, HDFC, hindustan uniliver , p&g, piramal, TAS, Reliance, Titan, yes bank, mi and many more. These compnies offered role in various segment like BFSI, consulting , operations, supply chain analytics, and various other roles.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students get the opportunity to sit for the final placement in the final year of this course, the placement process generally starts in the month of December end and is continued. Various companies had come for finals such as amazon, Pepsico, capgemini, HDFC, himalaya, Bajaj finserv, ICICI, Infosys, IBM, JSW, JP Morgan. There were 65 companies participating in the final placements with the highest CTC of 34.36LPA, and a median of 22LPA. The college has been able to place 100% of students in the finals.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the two-year course is six lakh, which was around two lakh previously. Since JBIMS has now been converted into an autonomous college and its fees structure were very low around 204580/-, it hiked the fees in 2017 by 4,00,000 Rs. It also depends on the category of a student which he falls into to pay the desired amount. But by increasing the fees JBIMS has been focused on providing new courses to add to the curriculum and different methods of evaluation, developing better infrastructure. Students can avail for the Maharashtra government scholarship program via mahadbt mahait .gov.in. Students can also get loans from various banks. The placement process is controlled by the placement committee which brings various renowned companies to the campus and has consistently been able to provide 100% placement each year.

Campus Life

4

The Institute provides ample opportunities to meet various top corporate leaders, conduct sessions with them. Various cultural events and tech fest are being held in different months looking at the academic schedule. An annual fest like Prayaag20 was held last year. There are various other committees being formed to handle the responsibility of creating such an engaging and memorable experience. The Library here has more than 40,000 books and more than 1000 journals, also due to the pandemic new portal has been launched to help students read online and get any books they want via a proprietor software of JBIMS. The classrooms here are big enough to accumulate 100 students at a time. There are various groups being formed handled by the students, such as cultural committee, CSR, Ecell, IT , Alumni and various other committees

Placement Experience:

There are good placement options from companies like Reliance, TATA, Hinduja, HERE, etc. They host Job Fairs which are open to all. Due to COVID, these things are happening online. I was already placed somewhere so I did not partake in their activities as much as other students. The entry criteria are subjected to the company you are applying for, so it keeps varying. But the faculty tries their best that opportunity is given to all.
