Remarks
The College is well known in Navi-Mumbai. The primary reason to select this college over others is my friends have already studied here and had a very good experience over their learning years. The college is near Ghansoli Railway station and also has a bus stop right outside the college gate. The staff helped me in getting all the necessary docs sorted for the attestation. They helped students facing difficulties in filling forms etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for MBA in IT. The teachers are PhD holders and are some of the best out there. They have great insights of the topic and the market and are able to articulate things easily. The best part is they are very friendly and understand the background of a student and help them accordingly The MBA syllabus is according to Mumbai University hence they had to teach according to it, but that doesn't stop them from sharing their extra knowledge with the students. In the 1st year, we had 110 students in the class and then substantially less in the 2nd year as we all were split into groups according to the specialization. Exams were held on time in 1st year, but due to COVID 2nd year exam was a bit delayed. The exams were fairly tough but thanks to good preparation we passed with flying colors!
Internships Opportunities
Many Internship offers are there for students. Finance, Marketing, HR students get a plethora of options. The IT sector is a bit slow as employers look for full-time candidates. The students can also work for the college itself. Many of my friends helped the college in creating an online presence through marketing, Also they got options to work in the college office itself.
Placement Experience
There are good placement options from companies like Reliance, TATA, Hinduja, HERE, etc. They host Job Fairs which are open to all. Due to COVID, these things are happening online. I was already placed somewhere so I did not partake in their activities as much as other students. The entry criteria are subjected to the company you are applying for, so it keeps varying. But the faculty tries their best that opportunity is given to all.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is decent in my honest opinion. There are benefits to the minorities as everywhere else in the state. Being an Open category candidate the fees were higher than the rest of the categories but I was able to apply for EBC (Economic Backward Class) as my family income is low and was able to get some relaxation (approx. 50% of the Tuition fees) in the fees. This is a government scheme. There are job opportunities as well. They have a job fair that is open to everyone and not just the college students which are good. I didn't require placement as I was already placed somewhere else.
Campus Life
The campus life was good till it lasted. Thanks to COVID (sarcasm) we had to attend online classes in the 2nd year. The 1st year was nice though. Made some new friends which I am thankful for. Their cultural fest called Zest, they host all sorts of events like Fashion shows, Dance, Sports, etc. There were some parties too. The Classroom a nice and big. Computer labs and Library gets the job done, both are big and many students use it at the same time.
