Pros and Cons before joining IBS Hyderabad

Good aspects of my college are very much academically methodical in structure and the bad aspects are that the communication gap is too much between student and faculty. The admission process had done in the form of GD and PI during February month. It is a good college in terms of academic and placement point of view.

I choose Finance as my specialization because I like to know more about investment pattern and trend in the financial industry in terms of knowledge. Faculty to student ratio is very good here. Qualification of faculties is also very good. Term exams are strict in time and they are moderate.

College used to offer internship in many good companies and few of them offer a stipend, not all of them in the same place in terms of stipend. FMCG good companies even come to our college for internships with no stipend. College designed this internship as a part of the curriculum.

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placements and that used to start during September end. Companies had visited in our college close to 100 and average LPA is 8. The highest domestic package offered was 14 LPA and the international LPA was 27. Almost 97% of students placed last year. I have the option to go back to my existing company as I am on leave without pay and trying for good options through placements if I will get any.

Fees are moderate compare to other business schools and the cost of study if I compare it with a current scenario is a little high. The college has provided scholarship to students who secured good marks in semesters in 1st year.

There is no tech fest used to happen in this college and an annual fest named Trishna used to happen every year in January month. The College library has access offline and online for reading. The classroom is very large and spacious. There are 28 clubs in the college including cultural and related to management idea related. I am part of a photography club.

The Group discussion which I had faced was on social media effects and interview questions are mostly related to my work experience. I used to read the newspaper and follow online blogs to gather knowledge during GD. Criteria for admission is all over a student has to get 60% and above.
