Honest Review of KIET

I choosed this college because i got computer science here and it is one of the top private college of A.K.T.U. The review was good and some of in my connection told that college is not that bad. I tool the admission here however I have to done my masters from IIT. It was all sorted for me.

As I belongs to CSE department. So my experience is good here. You will get all knowledge about your core subjects. Faculties are having atleast M.Tech degree and some professors have done Phd also. It depends on you how you approaches to your faculties. If you have any doubt then faculties will definitely solve it. There will be mentored assigned to you who will take your weekly report. however now many things are new which was not there when i tool the admission, like from first year you can be part of coding club. There will be seniors to help you. Now from first year, students get the chance to explore their work domain like web development, android development, machine learning, e.t.c. There is innovation cell which is having facilities like 3-d printers,e.t.c. CS department is having super computer also.

When placement is going on then company take the 3rd year student for internship. I didn't applied for internship because i am preparing for gate 2021. You get the stipend also during the internship. Some of the internship opportunities are internship in Samsung R&D, One student selected for internship in adobe, kronos,etc.

Placements are good then other colleges. You will get the job after graduating from here. Lot of companies visited here and number of offers made is larger then the students. Highest placement from the 2021 batch is 25 lacs from flipkart and 19 lacs from Lowe. Average package is somewhere between 5-6 lacs. If you have planned for master then you can take the admission here. Some the offered made by the company is the campus placement are ZS associated - 12 lacs, kronos-14 lacs, InfoEdge 6-8.5 lacs, Adobe 27 lacs, BNY Mellon 12-22 lacs, hashedin 6 lacs, deffodils 4-5 lacs, Newgen 4.25 lacs, TCS Digital 7 lacs. Some of the mass recruiter are TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, Tech Mahindra.

Infrastructure is very good. Total campus area is around 17 acres. There is small shops like Amul, Big treats, etc apart from some distance. There is one store, you will get all the things there. you will have cafeteria there and coffee shop also. There is one temple inside the campus. There is one football ground, one cricket ground. College is ragging free. You will get seniors very friendly. There are lot of clubs like Stepper, pheonix for dance, vaani for singing, club for band, coders korner for coding, DSC Kiet for development, Innovation cell, club for nukkad natak. There is one market near by college known as railway road.

In this college, it will take approximately 7-8 lacs for 4 years of B.Tech. If you have Uttar Pradesh domicile,income certificate of below 2 lacs and a good rank in UPSEE then fees waiver is available and it will cost you hardly 25000 Rs for one year of fees + (hostel or P.G cost). If you have some business plan then there is E-cell which can provide you fund to execute it. You will the job after your B.Tech. CSE department has 100 percent placement but from other branches some students apply from off-campus. Company came here regulary here but student should have skills. Average package is 5-6 lacs.

Accommodation facilities you will here very easily. If you will live in P.G outside the college then if will cost you approx. 5500-6000 Rs per month including meals and if you will take college hostel then it will cost you 1 lac plus per year. IF you do not like the meal for someday then restaurant, hotels are there nearby the college.

No, I didn't gone through interview process because i took the admission from UPSEE rank. However some people applied directly and they gone through the interview and some basic exam based on your intermediate. But apart from this you should have good percentage(80% above) in your 12th board.
