Remarks

I chose this college because it offered me a dual specialisation MBA degree together with PGPM at the fees rate which I could afford. Also, the distance from my home is commutable. The campus location is in Gurgaon, close to big corporate offices. Apart from this, the main purpose of joining an MBA was to get on-job hand training which is compulsory in my programme. Also, other colleges offering the same fee and other opportunities were not offering MBA but PGDM.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course incorporated in our syllabus is constructed by the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU, Rohtak) as the college is affiliated with the same. The course covers a large scale of subjects in each semester which introduces the students to different perspective in the first year. However, as the student goes through the second year she/he is said to choose her/his specialisation and is said to develop expertise in the same.

Internships Opportunities

4

Since I am in first sem I have not had any internship opportunities yet. However, being the head of the placement cell, we are in touch with some leading corporates for the placement of our fellow batch mates

Placement Experience

3.5

There are various ways that the college supports the placement of its students. Firstly, there is a placement cell formed by the management and students which interacts with different corporates for the placement. Secondly, the college also has MOUs with some online placement portals which assist in the process. Third, the college has in-campus placements or if any corporate is not able to come to the campus, a scheduled interview is conducted.

College Events

The campus size is really small, so there is no social campus life as such. Due to covid-19 our freshers was also postponed and much of our classes were online, it had only opened in Jan. However, the administration does support student initiatives. The college has a canteen (which is closed due to covid), a library, an innovation room. There are various events which are conducted by the students with the permission of the management.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is distributed into annual fee, tuition fee and such other fees as may be said. As far as I am concerned I have not heard of any scholarship or financial assistance. When it comes to campus jobs, the college is registered with various job portals and has partnered with other partners. The college has in-campus placements, apart from this a Guarantee Placement Letter (GPL) is offered at the time of the admission. This obviously has certain conditions which the student has to meet.

Admission

I had cleared my CAT with satisfactory percentile, so I did not have to take any written tests. Some of my friends gave MAT. I remember there were 2 batchmates who didn't give any professional exam so they had to give written tests. After this, I went through 3 rounds of PIs which were taken by 3 different people. First was about my personal choices and character, the second interviewer checked my professional understanding and knowledge whereas the third interviewer asked me about my field of interest. He asked me some basic and some detailed questions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're writing about a specific course curriculum, here’s how you might address each point: 1. Specific Aspects of the Curriculum That Influenced Your Decision I chose this course because of its emphasis on [specific topics, e.g., hands-on learning, interdisciplinary approach, research opportunities]. The curriculum includes [mention unique aspects, such as industry collaborations, case studies, or specialized subjects], which align with my interests and career goals. 2. Real-World Applications and Academic Preparation The curriculum effectively bridges theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Courses like [specific courses] provide hands-on experience, and projects or internships help in applying concepts to real-world scenarios. Additionally, the program offers strong foundational knowledge, making it a good stepping stone for higher studies in [relevant field]. 3. Areas for Improvement in Curriculum and Teaching Methods Curriculum: More industry-relevant topics could be incorporated, such as [emerging trends or technologies]. Practical exposure could be enhanced with more case studies and live projects. Teaching Methods: More interactive and discussion-based learning could improve engagement. The inclusion of guest lectures from industry experts and increased use of digital tools can also enhance learning. 4. Exam Frequency, Timing, and Difficulty Level Exams are conducted [frequency, e.g., midterms and finals], which allows for steady assessment but sometimes feels [too frequent/too sparse]. While some exams effectively test understanding, others rely too much on memorization. A balance between theoretical and practical assessments would be beneficial. Would you like to refine this based on a particular course you're referring to?
