Remarks

It was close to my home. I thought about saving time on commute and putting that time into my productive things like projects and courses to improve my skills. The mechanical department in the college was supposed to be really great. With the construction of the new building, there was a lot of new technology and infrastructure for students who really want to do research.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The mechanical course was one of the best in Mumbai. The course curriculum was based on the syllabus from Mumbai University. So, it was not really completely updated but is in progress of updating. All the faculties are great, most of them are either Phds or in process of getting one. The college is strict on attendance and coming on time for the assembly and stuff. They conduct exams almost every month and we have to attach these sheets in the final submission journal. If you don't give the tests, if you have to appear for either remedial or retest. It was not that difficult clear these exams as the professors explain very well in the lecture.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Students can opt for internships under the professors. Some of them even result in patents and such. Stipend is generally not available. Almost all professors are Phds or pursuing PhD, so they have some interesting internship opportunity, so it is great if you want to learn.

Placement Experience

4

The students can participate in the placements in their final year. The students have special training for the same for aptitude tests, Group discussions and interview practice. Many companies like L&T, Godrej, Bosch,TCS, etc visit the college. In Mechanical the highest package was 8 Lpa and the average was 4 Lpa. After the initial test, the students are given job mostly based on the skills and what they have done in the 4 years ie, their experience.

College Events

The annual fest is called "FACES", conducted in the month of September and the tech fest is called "ETAMAX", conducted in the month of January. Almost all the books the required for the completion of the course is found in the library itself. You don't need to buy books. The classrooms are great, with smartboards and amazing benches. There is proper ventilation and the rooms are lighted. The college has a sports team for almost all the sports. And there are different clubs for various activities and interests. For eg, there is a debate club, there is a magazine club, there is a SAE collegiate club that is responsible for making teams for various international competitions like AERO and BAJA. There is also the Agnel Robotics Club

Fee Structure And Facilities

For the general category, the total fees comes to be 1.23 lakhs. But there are many schemes and scholarships to which the students can apply and can pretty good amount as scholarship. And the fees is already very less for the SC/ST and other underprivileged classes. The scholarships include TFWS, EWS, etc

Hostel Facilities

4

The rooms are a bit cramped up, with 3-4 people sharing it. The food is just so and so only. Many people take accommodations around the college with a service that delivered tiffins for them. There will be non - veg 2 days. But this being at heart of the city, many food services are nearby and they provide food for cheap.

Admission

Admission based solely on the results of the MH CET conducted by the state government. This being a good college, had a pretty high cutoff. Though there is a quota for Christian Minority, since this is Christian Minority College. There are also a few management seats but for this you have to give a donation to the Trust, similar to all the other colleges.
