Remarks
It is one of the best state level colleges as i read from the reviews from shiksha, collegedunia, career360 and other websites. My first priority was MBM jodhpur and this was my second priority. Others were prioritised lower so i didn't got those. On basis of my JEE marks i got this college alloted to me. This being the one of the oldest colleges in rajasthan and civil being a reputed branch of the college made me choose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum looks okay. It gives all the theoretical knowledge required. Practical exposure is less. Faculties are experienced and helping in nature. Our professors are preparing us for GATE also along with the college exams.
Internships Opportunities
Due to the pandemic, we are being provided with online courses. Internships can be easily found via internshala platform. It also provides training so we are told to have a look by the placement cell. Placement cell keeps us updated about the placements with a whatsapp and telegram group.
Placement Experience
7th semester marks the start of placement period for final year students. In 5th and 6th semester eligible students get internships from college. Companies like dcm, shree ram cement, jk cement visit for the civil branch. Other are the IT companies which accept any branch student if you know some coding. Highest package offered was 12 lakhs to the final year senior last year by some IT company. Average salary was 4 lakh per annum. And minimum is 2 lpa. Placement rates for various branches vary. For civil it is very low. Also core branch students tend to go for GATE or other government exams rather than getting a corporate job.
College Events
The cultural fest of the college is called ANUKRITI. It hosts several events and competition. The main attraction being mr. And miss anukriti who are decided after testing the contestants with various tasks. Other dancing singing, fashion show events are held. Thar is the technical event. All the clubs hosts one or more events int the fest. Every night was a dj night last year. Robo wars was a great success. ATVC was also held for the last two years at the college.
Campus Life
All type of sports are available such as basketball, football, tennis, volleyball, badminton, table tennis. Gymnasium is equipped with all types of machines. Lab equipment are being updated. Library has all the necessary books. College has provided e-journals on their network.
Hostel Facilities
Two girls are allotted a single room in the hostel. Mess food is okay but it can't beat the home cooked food. The hostel room costs 9000 per year and the mess costs 22500 per semester plus 1500 for other facilities per semester. But actually you pay less in the even sem as the mess fee gets deducted in the even sem for the food not eaten in the odd sem. Registration process for hostel was to fill up the form that they give at the hostel and pay the fee and thats all.From 3rd year onwards all the girls are provided single rooms. There are sufficient rooms for all the girls getting in the college. Number of girls taking up BTech is less so some rooms are always empty. So you don't have to worry about getting the hostel.But 3rd year onwards it may be a problem.
