IIT PATNA college review

Though It's been only 12 years of iit patna we as our college has been recognized by the country and fellow iits. There are a lot of achievements made by students of iit patna in every field. Iit patna has also produced some civil servants (ias ifs) through these years.

As India education system it's outdated.Though we have got a decent working labs to learn the method of teaching is monotonous and dull it is unable to ignite a fire of curiosity in students. There haven't been any significant changes (not at all any changes) to make the teaching more dynamic.There are very very less frequent industrial visits that take place it's almost once or twice throughout the 4 years.I would say to improve one's personality and to be more professional one has to work on it self nonetheless college is present as a helping hand.

There are 3 college festivals that occur in my college all of them are annual fests.1. Anwesha (cultural) this is also the largest among the three and have a footfall of around 5000 from across the country this year there was also a Bollywood entry in anwesha.2.celsta(tech) having footfall of around 3000 thia is a technical fest and moat of the events are technical this fest is of 2 day programme we induce participants from across the country. 3. Infinito(sports) 3 day annual sports fest with footfall of around 1000 we get participants from colleges nearby city and states and other iits

Fee structure is feasible for an average stident it's around 7 lakhs for 4 years fee is divided into semesters students have to pay fees every semester and it's different in each of them. There arr also provision for financially weak students to help them qualify them financially for these 4 years like students below 1lpa family income pay no tution fee at all.

There are a few scholarships/loans that can be availed by students who are financially poor or their family income is less than 1 lakh per annum.Being a general student i don't know about it specifically.

Extracurricular activities are fine in iit patna labs are enough and well equipped. Sports facilities are fine and still improving. There are lots of clubs that ensure time to time happening of cultural events like dance and singing.

Yes, it is compulsory for b.tech students to stay in college hostel throughout the 4 year program. The hostel rate is very decent 500 rupees per month excluding mess fee. The infrastructure is also fine but strength of students is double the capacity of hostels so everyone has to stay double in a room of single student.

As of now it's not great to say but we are constantly improving our alumni network by reaching more and more of our graduated seniors. This year also there were few students who got recruited and got internships from our due to the alumni network.

Admission into IITs is only through jee advanced (if you ought to take a btech program in iits). But to appear in iit jee advanced a student must first appear on jee mains and he/she must secure his/her name on the merit list declared by the NTA( the same organisation that conducts jee mains).Then afterwards a student must secure his/her name on the merit list of jee advanced too and on the basis of his/her rank he /she is given the priority to choose a college and a course.

Assessing faculties will be matter of big discussion as some of them are really good and have a great incentive for teaching and making us learn, while some of them are just average who just come and do their own syllabus like it's only them who is learning and the rest of class is compromised of sleeping zombies. And really unfortunately there are some who don't even have basic knowledge of the subject.
