Reality Of B.phram from DIT University, Dehradoon.

My friend who was pursuing the bachelor degree in pharmacy from this college recommended me this college. The college had great infrastructure and a decent fees, so I got admitted here. The placement seemed decent as for the previous years. The college is inclined towards research and provided opportunities to students wanting to get their masters from abroad universities. The admission process was really smooth and the college has a large library and their was sports culture in this college.

It was not a wise decision to opt for B. Pharm from this college. The students are of really low Caliber and the teachers are not as knowledgeable as I expected them to be. The lab facilities are not at all appreciable. The semester exams are really easy to clear. The semester exam doesn't help students prepare from master degree exams. The placement scenario is not appreciable. Only mentionable company that visits the campus is Nestle, and they too look for sales professionals. The college doesn't allow students opportunities to get into core pharmaceutical jobs. On an average, only 2-3 students get placed out of a batch of 60 students.

Students undertake college placements at 4th year, 7th sem. The only company visiting for B.pharm is Nestle and they select 2-4 students. The offered package is 4-6lacs. The college placement is great only in computer science engineering Branch.

The college semester fees is 50-60 thousand for each semester. They provide scholarship to students who are the domicile of Uttarakhand. And also students get 10% to 20% scholarship is they have scored above 80, 70% respectively. The campus placement is not appreciable. Only Nestle visits the college and 2-4 students get placed with average 4-6 Lacs CTC.

The annual fest is called Youthopia and they are conducted generally in December. There is celebrity appearance in Youthopia. The books available are not the latest ones, and one needs to purchase certain books each semester for better knowledge. The classrooms are well maintained and have projector and other basic facilities like lights and fans. There are clubs like Literary, Body building, Arogya etc.

The rooms are really awesome. Great bathroom, room space, and other requirements. There is both single, double seater rooms. The college has 4 boys and 2 girls hostels. All the hostels have excellent facilities. The college is in Sala Gaon, the area lacks connectivity with the rest of the town. Cabs and city transport are not always available. PG accommodation is found at a range of 4-8 thousand.
