Remarks

Faculty of management studies, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda accepts Cmat scores for admission. Its an ACPC Listed University and the complete procedure of admission herein takes place through ACPC. There are 3 rounds of ACPC through which students can secure seats in this university. The Procedure generally starts in June and ends in July. The University also has special seats for reserved classes. Seats are categorized into 2 types, one of them being government-aided and the other being self-finance. Cut-offs for categories are generally 92 & 86 PR respectively. The reason for preferring this university over others is that it provides the best value for money. A fact to be noted is that it was ranked 2nd amongst other government B-Schools in MDRA Survey conducted by India today group in 2020.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties in this University are highly qualified and each of them holds a PHD from reputed Universities and the majority of them also have teaching experience exceeding 10 Years. There are generally 8 faculties for teaching 200 students on average. Teaching methods are practical and up-to-date. They encourage practical learning along with theoretical knowledge. They also provide academic and career guidance. They indulge in practical assignments to enhance knowledge and real-life scenario of subjects. Exams are conducted on a timely basis and during internals, there are generally 2 papers in each day with makes it difficult but also helps in dealing with time and high-pressure situations.

Internships Opportunities

It provides internship for industrial exposure and also facilitates research work and provide an average stipend of 10,000 - 15,000 per month. Companies providing internships are ICICI, Reliance, KYB Conmat etc.

Placement Experience

On-campus, placement starts in the month of September generally whilst the 3rd semester. Companies such as Tata Consultancy Services, Reliance, HDFC Bank, Alembic, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank, BFIL Bank, HFFC Bank, Kotak Life, ICICI Prudential, Stone Sapphire, Deepak Nitrate, UTI Mutual funds take students from Campus placement and they give a generally the highest package of 11 lacs and average package of 5.2 Lacs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are bifurcated Government Aided (GIA) and Self Finance Wise (SFI), and also Gender wise. General estimated fees for GIA (BOYS) is Rs. 20,000, GIA (GIRLS) is Rs. 15,000, SFI (BOYS) is Rs. 40,000 and SFI (GIRLS) is Rs. 30,000. Scholarships are provided to 2-3 students each year and interviews are conducted for the same every year.

Campus Life

An annual fest is organized in the month of March, it's called "YUVAANTAS" its an elite celebration including business games, cultural activities and is followed by high tea, buffet dinner and DJ. University has 2 libraries one of them is on campus and the other is a central library for all the departments which has a famous brand all over Vadodara for having most curriculum and extra curriculum books. Classrooms are airy and ventilated and personal benches are allotted to each student. There's a special sports room dedicated to keeping all the sports equipment of the faculty. Various days are celebrated thought the year and festivals are celebrated with utmost joy on campus. Various groups and clubs are formed such as fiscal sparkle, synergy, optimum and markup.

Here the placement are provided by the CDC, the career development centre and the placements here are on an average good and the support provided by the placement team is also good. Here. You can apply for the finance and for the marketing, but as well as the HR is concerned. You can also look for some other colleges because here companies are not very much concerned for HR.

About the placement procedure, from the very first Trimester we are being prepared for aptitude tests,Group Discussion rigorously and mostly after our 4th Trimester we get eligible for our placement right after our internship duration and we are being prepared very well for placement season and encouraged for the same. Few of the companies visited EY from the big four then Zomato Alumni's etc., no of companies till now came for placement are 100+ and for different roles also. Highest pacakge is of 12 Lakh CTC.
