Remarks
I chose this college because Pros: 1. Campus connectivity 2. Overall extracurricular track record 3. Low fees Cons: 1. Not too many choices in terms of the cafeteria. Admission Process - GD and Interview. Reason for choosing this college , over others was the fact that I wanted to study outside my home city. I used Pagalguy.com a lot while my admissions.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose finance major and operations minor. The ratio of faculty to students is 1:6, The faculties are well qualified and follow very good pedagogy. They provide suitable material and this is very helpful for preparation. Exams are trimester based with mid terms and end terms. You need to score at least 40% in all the end terms which is a major challenge.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies come for internships like Deloitte, Novartis, Nephroplus, iAdore, etc. My stipend during my internship was 7000 per month which later was changed due to pandemic. My project was to increase the brand presence of my company over social networks.
Placement Experience
From Term 4 students become eligible for placements. A lot of companies visited campus like Deloitte, ICICI, HDFC, Tresvista, Oracle, Genpact, Wipro, etc. Around 200+ offers are made till now. Highest package was LPA and average package is 6.5-7 LPA. Around 95% of the students are placed and the process is still going on. I am going to plan to start my job soon.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not very sure about the fees hike policy. My course fees during these two years was 12 lakhs. I did not get any scholarship though. I easily got a loan from Bank of Baroda for the course. I got internship at NephroPlus with 7k stipend and job at Deloitte.
Campus Life
The annual management fest of IMT - H is called IMPELZ. We have two more fests which are Ace Connect and Periodos. The library has more than 30000 books. Classrooms are well made with a step-up structure. We have huge whiteboards, projectors, in-class computers and biometric attendance systems. There are a lot of sports facilities like basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, etc. All clubs and committees are student-driven.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms were single rooms. We were provided with fan, light, cot, cupboard, side table, study table and chair. All the rooms were whitewashed just before we got in. The mess food is also very good when we compare it with other colleges. The menu changes on a rotational basis every month. Registration for hostel was simple. We had to log on to ERP and choose the room floor.
Interview Experience
My GD was very simple. Tbh, I don't remember the topic though. My interview was very intense. It was based on my academic background and a lot on my hobbies. The interviewer went in-depth for my experience of an NGO.
