An Amazing journey at IMT Hyderabad

IMT Hyderabad has a 30-acre campus with lots of greenery. It is situated near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The is college campus is very scenic and the sunsets are amazing there. The college accepts CAT, XAT, and CMAT scores. The cutoff changes every year. The fee is around 12 Lakhs for two years. You should prefer this college as it has a batch size of 240 and placement teams puts on great effort to get every student placed. Hyderabad is the hub of very good companies like Deloitte, Amazon, and any great startups so you get good opportunities here.

There are three courses offered by the college namely PGDM Core, PGDM finance PGDM Marketing. The faculty to student ratio is 6:40. The college esteemed faculty for finance, marketing, human resource, operations, and analytics. The college offers a great variety of subjects in each domain. The teaching methodology is systematic and industry standard. There are various practitioner sessions held for different domains where industry leaders guide the student about the market. The term exams happen every three months before that two mid-term tests happen to prepare the student for the term exam. The term exam may be subjective or objective, it depends on faculty. The exams are moderately difficult.

There are great internship opportunities at IMT Hyderabad. The internship program ranges from 6-12 weeks where students work under a company guide and their student mentor on the internship project. Companies like Deloitte, DSP mutual funds, I adore, Health Coco, De Shaw, Taskmo, Palladius, Reliance, Mari Co came for placements this year.

The college secures 100% placement every year. Companies like Deloitte, Wipro, PWC, Genpact, ICICI Bank, SBI life, IDFC bank, and many more companies come to recruit students from campus for campus placement, the placement season starts in 5 semesters, generally, in the month of September every year, there are many good offers and roles in majorly finance and marketing and HR. profiles like Tax consultant, business analyst, credit analyst, sales manager, territory manager, business development executives, etc are offered. For batch 2018-20 there was 100% placement and for 2019 -21 placement still going on.

The average salary offered is 7-8 lakhs. The tuition fees are 12 lakh for two years which includes mess, hostel and books. The student can avail education loan from the bank of Baroda easily. There is no scholarship for admission but the student who is offered a dual country programme at IMT Ghaziabad have the option to study at IMT Hyderabad at a scholarship fee.

The campus life is great. There 18 different clubs and committees where a student can join that varies from marketing club- Mercatus, finance club - Finacea, entrepreneurship club - Prarambh, operations club - Opuskriya, creativity club - Tassavur, Analytics club - Insightix, and many more. Major fests of college are PERIODOS, ACE CONNECT. The annual fest is IMPELZ which is a two-day event and students from pan India B schools come and participate at college. The library is known as LRC here, it has wide resources offline and online. Besides this college provides access to many databases for our project purposes.

The college is a residential programme, there is no day scholar student. The hostel and mess fees included in the main fee structure that is 12 lakhs for two years. Every student gets individual rooms. There is a cot, side table, study table and wardrobe in the room. There is a window for ventilation. There are two water coolers on each floor and washrooms are common and sufficient according to the number of students. The menu changes every month, a wide variety of food is provided and quality is average.

For batch 2019-21 there face to face interviews in different cities. There was a faculty panel of 3-4 professors from different campuses who checked students' interest in MBA and knowledge he gained in Bachelor degree. They also talked about internship experience. But now the college has changed the admission process due to pandemics. The first step student has to fill the form and write an SOP of 300 words and in the second step, he has to share a 1-minute video talking about him/herself and their career aspiration. The student will be shortlisted on the basis of these two steps will be called for an online interview.
