A.Arokia Jessie's Review On Stella Maris College, Chennai

Bad remark is they don't let the 1st and 2yrs students to go for inter college competitions.

Applied for the college and Got admission card. Went for an interview with the subject teacher and got the seat.

Very good. Apart from our major subject, They expose us to all the other field. I studies basic physics,chemistry, botany, maths, commerce, English, Tamil, German, fine arts, games and many more. I always enjoy the vocational food science course. My friends went for aerobics class. Though some course are compulsory we enjoyed it. What I studies in Stella Maris college really helping me in my day today life. This college is fabulous.

Yes but In our department we never had a chance to work with stipend. But every vacation we went for on the job training.

Most of my friends were settled with good job. Stella marines are everywhere in this world in high ranking position. They can be easily noted. During final year many big companies conduct interviews and select the valuable students for their company from our college.

They celebrate all government and religious festival. More specially they celebrate bus day as thanking the PTC drivers and conductors driving to our college. Also too many extra curricular and co curricular events takes place in our college. Stalls during Christmas is one such important thing.

Fee are reasonable and they give ample time. There are so many scholarships for students in different category. Sometimes teachers pay for poor students. Filling the fee chalan was always a problem for me in my college days. Have nothing more to tell about fees.

I don't know exactly. But I heard about it. Some students studied only with the scholarship and loan.

It's a girls college. So no problem about boys. This college has more students from high society. Also many students from Kerala. So I could see too many group inside a class room. But I never say a discrimination. They will be on their own way. In hostel some time we can see the discrimination.

Day schoolers are not allowed to enter the college hostel. But from outside hostel atmosphere is good. Hosel in charge seems to be very strict. Still girls enjoyed the hostel life in Stella. College canteen was ok in the beginning. But in our final year it was good. I likes the new canteen Menu.

I'm not aware if anything happening in college. I am not happy about alumni team. It hast one improved. I want to see my college again.

They were good questions and mostly from the subject. Some times repeated questions in different form as a twisted questions. Old question papers were available in library. So if we refer them we can guess the important questions. Nothing hard about exams and marks. If we listen in class we can clear the paper.

Teachers are amazing. All the teachers were well trained. They were very confident and clear with their subjects. I'm always impress of my teachers in Stella. Though people sisters managements are strict,I like it and enjoyed more. They guide and care each and every student.
