Remarks

Overall I would conclude that this college is best and deserves to be in a good position as it changed my life and gave me hopes to lead a respectful life. I thank all the faculty for giving importance to every student and delivering the concepts well. the management is very organized and friendly too.

Entrance Preview

I attended common entrance test (CET) scored an average ranking of 13,681 and lost hopes of leading a good life but this college changed my life into a miracle. I actually opted for this college because it was a new college and had expectations that new colleges provide good faculty. CiTech kept its word.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum was followed by our university (VTU - Belgaum) It had good standards and standard rules and regulations. The selected electives were very useful and helpful too. The subjects are very useful and interesting too. The course had 8 units in which we could write any 5. Many subjects required practical knowledge which again helped us in projects and laboratory practices. We had an industrial tour which made us to learn some concepts by showing in real time.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, we had the freedom to choose internship in other companies for our final year projects. there was no stipend but the experience was good as we got to visit companies and learnt little about the industry standards. Intern in a company as a student made us feel proud as we had some different concepts to put forth.

Placement Experience

4

Since it was a new college placements were tough. But the placement officer tried his best to give ample amount of opportunities to attend. Even though the companies were not ready to come, we were pooled to other colleges to attend interviews. We had lots of opportunities to present ourselves and show our talents. Campus pooling was done in an organized way and thank the officer for providing so many opportunities. Experience gained by attending so many interviews is priceless.

College Events

5

Every year we had the fest involving all the students and staff having active participation. Many celebrities were invited and we got a good chance to meet them. Many technical events were involved like introducing CS/IS forums for technical activities and placement activities by inviting great personalities and gaining good knowledge.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible not much but fairly feasible. 1st year we paid CET fees Rs. 28000 and Rs. 14500 college administration fees and the remaining years we had to pay around 33000 rupees every year including admission and donation. Hostel fees was around 50000 rupees which was worth giving.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. My friend had taken education loan on this and completed her bachelor degree. Other than that I remember students from backward classes and other backward castes running around to claim scholarship. But not much detail i know.

Campus Life

5

We had a memorable campus life as it was a mixture of everything. gender ratios were almost equal and we had all kinds of activities like technical events, sports(good encouragement to the talented), forums to improve our technical standards and knowledge. Cultural fests to mark the appreciation of every deserved person. Honorable prize on inauguration day to every student who scored distinction(Proud moments to students in front of their juniors). There was no intolerance towards other aspects.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel got improved a lot yearly and food was good enough to have everyday. Each room had 3 mates which was quite comfortable to stay and rooms were spacious and each one given private cupboard and study table. the hostel staff were very friendly and the hostel was well within college premises making it secure.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni network is still active as i receive mails for upcoming activities in the college and invitations to annual fest seeking our presence. Yes, we are still theirs. they give us importance even now. We were the senior most batch of the college.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was as per the university rules and regulations. We had 3 internals in which average of the best two was taken. The internal questions were as per the university standards and good preparation too for the externals. The lab internals were at the end of the semester organized similar to the externals.

Faculty

5

All the faculties were well qualified and they were very dedicated towards making the concepts understand by students. We had digital classes too which decreased the burden to students and faculty. all the other non-teaching staff were also very helpful and friendly too. The study materials and digital notes were enough to crack the university exams.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a tech-enthusiast and chip designing is something i have been keen to know about and hence i went in for ECE Course. The curriculum is just same as the other engineering colleges. Detailed enough to pass the semester end exams. Teaching methods and the equipments need to be changed. Its high time. While other colleges are using well designed new technologies for lab experiments, ours is still stuck on the old methods which is very frustrating as we dont receive accurate results that affects our performance.
