Choice this college if you are for placement in CS or IT

Teaching is good enough and placement for cs is best. Also, there are many companies which visit this college. Student Life is good and infrastructure is average. Placement for other departments may not be that good. So if you don't have a good rank in jee then instead of choosing those colleges of Ujjain and Rewa or vidisha; you should definitely choose lnct but make sure to choose the main branch of lnct cause others are not good.

I chose Mech cause I am interested in it but if you are just for placement purpose then definitely you should choose CS or IT cause almost all students get placed in those branches. The faculty is good. They clear your doubts and some may even encourage you. But don't totally depend on them. Most of the faculty have completed masters from an NIT college and can teach you clearly all the things you have in the syllabus but apart from the syllabus many of them can't teach. So I'll say that if you wanna collect more knowledge then they can't help you. Term exams are generally held 2 times every semester and if you just revise all the things 2-3 times then you will easily pass with great marks.

Getting a good internship may get hard. There are some programs in which you can pay and get Internships but they may not be of any value. Even if any company may visit for the internship but it's more likely that it's going to be for cs, IT students.

So after your third semester, you become eligible for campus placement I think. Mostly the companies that visit are tech companies like Wipro, TCS and others. For other branches like Mechanical, only 2 or 3 companies may visit and they rarely take students. The average package for cs it may be about 3 lakhs. And almost all in cs, it gets placed. So for mechanical especially you are left with the choice of competitive exams.

The fee is increased every year by about 10 percent. But you can get a scholarship if you are an IBC or SC/ST candidate. Generally, an OBC candidate gets about 25000 in scholarship. You can view these scholarships on the mp scholarship portal. For CS IT the fees are worth it but not for others as you won't get that much practical knowledge and there are too few companies that visit for other courses.

There are some fest conducted annually I think. But during this covid situation, they are held online. Books that you may need for college and for some competitive exams are available in the library. The classroom is average. Extracurricular activities and sports are also conducted. There are clubs available also like for example racing kit car where you have to design a kit car for the race. But I'll say that the environment is not innovative though in this college.
