All the way the college is very good the management is also very good the campus is big and good the teaching staff is helpful.

I took NCHMCT examination my score- 3000 i opted for this college because it is second best catering hotel management college in India.

Its a very good, informative course if one wants to know more basics of hotel management. The course structure is very well demarcated. After 1 and the half year one can opt for one main cuisine for specialization in food production.Till 1.5 years he can learn all subjects in hotel management.

Yes, IHM Chennai provides internships. Companies like ITC, Marriott, The Park, etc came. The general stipend was 1000 rupees.

All the students who successfully completed course were placed in 5star or 4 star hotels. Companies like ITC, Marriott, The Taj, Oberoi, The Park, Mcdonald, Mahindra Club. Packages are very good with good competitive salary. In all 30 big chains/companies came.

Onam, Ganpati , Private marriages, All cultures were celebrated. In ONAM we used to make 18 types of different traditional dishes. In some festivals chefs from different countries came to guide the students with different dishes. Every year there is Food Festival organised by the college students.

The fee is quite feasible compared to private college as it is central govt. college. It is paid semister wise other than that schedule cast is applicable for discount by central government for open category it will be 3.7 lac overall.so not much expensive.

No loan facilitiees. But scholarships are there for intelligent students. Many scholarships are there. There are competitions in which students can participate and get money.

This college has zero tolerance policy on discrimination of gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation and economic status. Students from all India were in present in this college debates took place in the presence of leaders of industry. Sport activities were taken place once in a year.

Hostel food was average as it was having south indian influence on it so for student coming from north india it will take some time to adjust in hostel.the facilities and aminities provided in hostel were good,Each room were having 3 beds and 3 fans and wardrobe.

The seniors are very helpful, co-operative the always support the freshers the guided freshers to chose the right path.

The exam structure is very nice. It is chilled out the labs are very frequent.6 Semisters in all. 6 exams. 6 exams for ignou. Fully equiped kitchens are given for practicals. 20% Internal Marking, 80%NCHMCT Papers and Tourism subjects came under IGNOU papers.

The faculty of IHM Chennai is very supportive. The teachers are experianced in thier prespective field of subject. The are very friendly and would support a child whenever required.The teachers are very enthusiatic and interested while teaching a subject.
