After the new vc arrived college has changed a lot in good ways l. But still, there are few changes to be made for a better place for students to live in.

Karunya entrance exam was the exam I appeared for. I opted for all this course because I wanted to do this course. I chose this college because it is located in a peaceful place and has really good atmosphere around it.

The course structure is ok. It involves a lot of projects, mini projects, Industrial visiting, class tests, mid terms, externals, and a lot of other things. College is also doing in research part. It has its own researching area in almost all departments.

Yes our college provides internship. Internship is provided within the university campus in various departments according to the department of the students and their interest.

Students Placement at Karunya Karunya has a creditable record of placement of its final year students and graduates. A good number of final year students plan to go for higher studies in India or abroad or turn entrepreneurs. As per recent trends about 80% of eligible final year students, who seek a placement, are placed with reputed organizations at the initiative of the Karunya University prior to their leaving the campus. Apart from Placement interviews on other campuses in and around Coimbatore, in which our students participate, a number of interviews are held on our campus.

The Karunya Institute of Technology was started as a private self-financing engineering college on 4 October 1986. In 2004, the institute was awarded the Deemed to be University status in recognition of its academic excellence by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India and subsequently renamed as Karunya University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 vide Notification No. 9-3-2000-U3 dated. 23.6.2004 of the Government of India. Karunya University is into its 25th year of service in Higher education with specific focus on Engineering and Technology. In the short span of its existence it has moved swiftly ahead to carve a niche for itself as an institution promoting all round excellence. In a nutshell, Karunya is a co-educational, fully residential, Technological University imparting holistic education to develop the body, mind and spirit of the students. KU is a totally residential, private institution that situates itself in Coimbatore in Southern India founded with a view to bring out thorough professionals in all fields It was given the status of a Deemed University in 2004 for the excellent academic performance by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 before attaining the status of a university, KDU was known as the Karunya Institute of Technology which started its journey as a self-financing private institution. The university campus is extended across 720 acres of land and is surrounded by picturesque views of the beautiful city of Coimbatore there are 8061 residential students staying at the several hostels in the campus at present who have enrolled themselves with the university the programs are offered at UG, PG and Diploma and PG diploma level the fees is expensive.

As of my knowledge goes,since my B.E in 1997-01 and M.E in 2006-08 we were not availed any educational scholarship and we didnt recieve any Loan facility to study. Only sc,st Students some were pressnt and they could be able to avail scholarship al the end-of the year. I did'nt recover any scholarship or Loan for studying.

We have excellent, putstanding hostel facilities like single, double ,four seater rooms,Hall,Mess halls with internet, wifi networks, games, Grounds, Jims, rooms for sick, university, community hospital pressent. Any time we dont have hostel seats shortage .we are occupied in an area of 800 Acres. Mess were very clean,Monitored periodically and food was very good to say in india its the best with all dishes and tiffins, Lunch, snacks like icecreams, Refreshing snacks etc. Another important point is that Karunya Institute of tech located in Siruvani Coimbatore has world's second Largest sweet water supplied from Hill Falls located in Siruvani.

It is the quality of companies which comes to campus and the kind of profiles that students get, matter the most in the long run. We have attempted to capture both the details based on publicly available profiles of B-Schools alumni in LinkedIn- the popular social media site for professionals.

The University has proven ability and adequate set up for conducting all its examinations the office of the Controller of Examination has all the facilities such as computer facilities ,strong room and adequate staff to conduct the examinations and publish the results. The central valuation system is followed. Dummy numbers are used to maintain confidentiality. The institution follows a very clear, well- planned calendar which schedules the examination. Evaluation is on the basis of both continuous internal assessment and external end semester examinations. Using an office automation system the teacher can key in internal assessment and laboratory marks in to the central data bank at the Controllers office within a stipulated time. Final results are normally announced within 10 working days of the last examination. The components of the internal assessment (quiz, tests, term papers, etc.) and their weightages are published every year in the beginning of the year and the students themselves can compute their internal marks based on their performance. At the end of the semester, the internal marks are displayed so that the students can verify their marks.

The teachers in the university are qualified and some of them are over qualified. Every teacher holds a degree of B.Tech, many others hold other degrees with B.Tech, like M.Tech, M.Sc, B.Sc, M.Phil, MBA, PhD, and many more in all other departments. They are assigned their post or positions according to these degrees and experiences.
