Remarks

The reason I took admission to this college is that it was the only college where I got a government seat. The admission process was not that tedious as compared to other colleges. After TS EAMCET we were supposed to fill out an online form for our college options after which we had been allotted a seat in the college where our rank was available. After the allotment of the seat, we were supposed to submit the documents along with a DD of a specific amount assigned by all the respective colleges to confirm the seat. The good aspects of my college are it has a good library. The cons being, there is no sports week, no official freshers or farewell, we're not allowed to interact with boys in the corridors or in the class, the girls cannot be made the Class Representative, lecturers do not clear doubts when asked out of college hours, information regarding submission of assignments is not given properly. I selected this college because it is a favourable minority college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose IT because I was always interested in coding and computers has been my forte. The teaching methods of our lecturers have been substantially weak. A subject like Digital Electronics was completely explained through Presentations when it was necessary for us to be explained by using the blackboard. Programming languages like Python and C++ were explained fairly well with minimum practical knowledge. We have four terms exams per semester including two theory and one lab internal and one lab external which are conducted with an interval of 15-20 days. One thing I really dislike about my college is we're asked to submit assignments 2 or 3 days before our term exams begin. It's really not that difficult to pass the exams as we make use of notes from other colleges or YouTube videos. The student availability per course is a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 120.

Placement Experience

3

We have companies like Amazon, Zetatek and Infosys offering placements in our college. The highest package that has been received was 15 lakh pa with the average being 6-7 lakh pa. The students are eligible for campus placements during their 7th semester or the first semester of their fourth/final year. Most students opt for other modes of placements like visiting and interviewing with the companies that do not visit or offer placements in our college but 40-60 percent of students get placed. My plan after I get my degree is to pursue Masters abroad or in India. Whatever favours my luck.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is considerably less than other colleges. The annual fees for our college are 60000/- when allotment is made by the government. Concession of 5% is given to SC/ST candidates in the qualifying degree exam. 70% of the seats are filled through TS EAMCET and the remaining are filled through Management Quota. For Management seats, applicants will be admitted through merit in the qualifying exam. The students are recruited from companies like Amazon, Zetatek, Infosys and Microsoft. Scholarship types offered are central and state. The central scholarship is offered to management students whereas state scholarship is offered to the students who got a government seat.

Campus Life

1.5

The campus life is very boring. No extracurricular activities, no fests, no freshers, no farewell, no clubs. The library is really good, it has the right books for reference. Classes are spatial but lack cleanliness and lights. We have two lifts in our college, one for the students and the other for the faculty. But most of the time the female faculty use the lift which has been assigned for students. Also, mostly either of the lift is in a bad condition.

Generally, students from 3rd year second semester are eligible for the placements. some, who are interns at a company earns the place to proceed for the rest of life. some others should try harder because they didnt get the internship. It is important to get internship. Companies do visit vasavi such as visa, silicon labs, cisco and more to pick interns or to pick engineers. percentage around 60-70 gets placed every year. Actually placements decreased after the recession.
