Entrance Preview

I attempted MP-PET 2007 entrance exam, i got some 5000 rank, now pattern is changed alot. i choose IIST college because my senior suggest me. its over all good experience. i got placed in final year.

Course Curriculum Overview

If you want to go for R & D or something then this is not the right place for you, but seriously speaking faculties of my department have sound knowledge. they always ready to clear our doubts. they knows everyone by name. In RGPV courses and pattern goes on changing every year.

Internships Opportunities

Some internship programs was conducted on robotics by techkriti IIT kanpur, embedded system, Mechanical department is always on top oin R & D. They had created lots of projects which are appreciated at national level. Internship is not conducted for outsiders.

Placement Experience

Placements is average, mostly companies for mechanical branch: Bridgestone 3.2 k , Lupin 2.8 k, Tata steels 3.8, collabera 2.8 k, TCS 3.2 k, Teleperformance 2.8 k , Impetus 3.2 k.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When i am studying, fee is less compare to now: 55000 per year, 220000 Total paid overall 3000 per semis. exam fee extra. Its not too expensive compared to other states engineering colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Only Govt scholarship provided to OBC, SC, ST candidate. They also gave fee concession to toppers.

Campus Life

Gender ratio are diversed from branch to branch, Boys are more compared to girls, you find some more girls in CS and IT, and less girls in mechanical. We have sports and cultural activities, including cricket,football, athletics, handball, TT, chess, carrom, badminton and cultural activities singing, dancing, acting, drama, fashion shows, Band performance.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is as usual, we have 8 semis. In 4 years each semester have 5 theory papers of 100 marks each and another 500 for practicals. Total 1000 marks. 35 marks are passing marks for theory out of 100.

Faculty

Faculties have sound knowledge, they are taking the lectures as well as you can also directly go and ask them your doubts in spare time. they also gave there contact number so you can directly approach them. We have some highly qualified faculties from CAT indore, IIT kanpur, BARC mumbai.

Placement Experience:

Plcaments are the best compared to top tier 2 college average this year is 22 lpa and the highest is 84 and the lowest is 8.5lpa and median is 14 which i think is not good as compared to other year i know it will improve but many companies are still visiting till now 84 percent have been placed

IIST-honest review

i had visited almost all colleges in indore, but for one reason or another , i didn't take admission there. 1. for example , at Acropolis , a very high JEE percentile was required. otherwise ,you have to pay a higher fee. 2. i couldn't afford the fees at medicaps. 3.in the rest of the private colleges, the syllabus , placements are almost same. 4.finallly , the main thing is that the college environment should be good , and In IIST the environment is good also they focus on extra skill development through SIGs. you can take direct admission here via 12th marks and also can apply in councelling via jee percentile you will get the branch according to your grades....Read More
