Entrance Preview

They took entrance exam on their own. I've given entrance exam in 2003 and got electrical engineering branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is good and they clear all the basic concepts nicely and this is very much needed as you move up to advance level courses. They provide ample opportunities for research work if one is interested.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they provide internship and facilitate in most of the cases. I've been selected in NTPC for one month training and the process was hassle free.

Placement Experience

3.5

During my time the campus placements were very good and many of the topmost companies used to visit. I m not sure about present situation but i myself was selected in Tata Motors. Most of the students got placed in more than one companies with a good package.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is extremely low as compared to any other private colleges. Mostly ranging between 4000-8000 rupees per semester for any of the courses available.

Fees and Financial Aid

Collage provides scholarship for students coming from weaker financial backgrounds. Also the fee structure is extremely low as compared to other collages.

Exam Structure

Most of the times exams and labs were very hectic but at the same time we enjoyed a lot. It was well organised and we used to enjoy that duration. All the exams used to happen in the same campus since the campus was very big. Laboratory also used to happen at the same place.

Faculty

Well the faculty is well qualified and most of people have a decent experience of corporate field as well. They enjoy imparting knowledge and their devotion for exceptional. Many are selected from UGC and posted in college. They have good subject knowledge and methodology for imparting knowledge is also good.

Placement Experience:

Campus promises to give placement after two years. They sent students to various internships and some students who are eligible for the job, are sent jobs. About 60% of students placed for jobs by the end of course. I will do a job after completion of the course.

BEST GOVT. POLYTECHNIC IN UP

Remarks:

Positives Beautiful Campus : This might seem irrelevant to some, but the natural beauty is what comes to your rescue when you feel you have hit rock-bottom. Single Rooms : People have different opinions about this, but I have come to respect this particular facility at our campus. Location of campus (away from city) : This is a very subjective issue, but I think that the location of campus (distance from city) leaves us lesser distractions. Negatives :- Weak Alumni Base : Although it is definitely possible to achieve any goal in life without assistance from alumni, but their experience can definitely make the journey simpler for many. However, lately, many alumni of IIT Guwahati are connecting back with the student community and I am grateful to them for taking out their time for interacting with us. Single Rooms : Yes, I covered this in positives as well, but I think I must point out the cons of this facility. Students, especially in the first year, might feel lonely and find it hard to interact with others. A shared room provides you with one or more readily accessible friends whose privacy you can breach without asking, from day one. Mess : However the Mess System is undergoing a lot of changes, this is one aspect that has a lot of scope for improvement.

The negative point is that there is no english spoking Envorment. Backward culture scoieties. Poor in celebration field. And the possitve point that fees management is doing very good work and there is less feeling of religious thing

The college is in my hometown so close to family and friends. No moving out having the comfort of living with family. Apart from this good syllabus structure. I was getting to learn so much more here than in other colleges. The reason i came back from college in Shimla, it was purely due to homesickness. I applied for DEI, Technical College, Diploma in Automobile Engineering. The minimum mark for this course is 60% and the age is 18.
