Remarks
My college is J. K. INSTITUTE of APPLIED PHYSICS AND TECHNOLOGY. I got this college through JEE-MAINS, it is one of the oldest technical colleges even from any IIT, it holds its Excellence in the field of Research and Technology. It offers its courses in Computer Science & Electronics and Technology. The Computer Science was introduced in the college by the Most Decorated organisation of the nation DRDO and from then it is a pioneer institution in the field of engineering. The students studying in the college get excellent ranks in different competitive exams like UPSC-Civil Services, Defence, Gate etc. because the schedule of the institution is lenient and gives time to focus on the self study. The faculty is Very Helpful and Supportive. The placements are average with 8lacs. p.a. as the Highest package and 6lacs. p.a. as the Average package. *The Placements and Packages are less because most of the students here Crack the different competitive exams with Outstanding Results.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty members are very educated, interactive , helpful and supportive. At present I cannot say about the Examinations, because our Examinations have not been held yet. But the Professors are well qualified and most of the professors are Ph.D. So, we can guess the Quality of the Education from this. Over all a good college which can cater a person in many ways.
Placement Experience
The placements are average with DRDO, ISRO, Hindustan Petroleums, Infosys and TCS as its primary recruiters. The Highest package is 8lacs per annum and 6lacs per annum as its average package. The Packages are low because the majority students crack various competitive exams like- UPSC-Civil Services, Defence, Gate etc. with extra ordinary results.
Fees and Financial Aid
One of the other reason to look for this college is its fee structure which is one of the LOWEST in the entire country. Its first year fee is 34,000/- followed by 20,000/- per year. Its per year Hostel fee is 12,000/- and Mess charges is 2,000/- per month. which is really very impressive.
Campus Life
The Hostels are spacious, in first year two students reside in one room, but for the rest of the year each student gets a separate room. But for girls one room is allotted to two for all years. The mess food is satisfactory. There are few clubs and less extra-curricular activities. One for freshers "AVIRBHAV" and one for the farewell "EXUBERENCE", the "SWAT CUP" for football and "TECHNO CUP" for cricket.
Hostel Facilities
It does not has its own hostels but the students are given the hostels of the ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY. The rooms are big and spacious with proper ventilation. One get basic requirements in a room like a bed, chair, table and a cupboard. The quality of the food of the mess is satisfactory.
