SIMSREE Mumbai is one of the best colleges for an MBA in Maharashtra. It's the second-best college in India in terms of ROI, at a fee of just 1.4 Lakhs for 2 years, the average placements that you can get range around 12.2 Lakhs. The admission was done through MBA-CET as always but it was delayed this year due to COVID-19 and our batch started in Feb instead of July/August. When you compare in terms of faculty and infrastructure, SIMSREE comes on the same level as JBIMS, with a much lesser fee, and it beats colleges like WeSchool and KJ in terms of placements. It sits in a very sweet spot when it comes to ROI.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculties in SIMSREE are industry veterans who also are passionate about imparting their learnings to students. This ensures that each and every teacher that teaches in SIMSREE know their subject in and out and can give us students the most relevant and practical learnings in that subject. While the curriculum itself is given by Mumbai University and is a bit outdated, the teachers themselves ensure that students are up to date with the current practices of the industry.
Internships Opportunities
As mentioned, SIMSREE offers a variety of roles across specializations. Roles like equity research intern, financial analyst intern, investment banking intern, consulting intern, digital marketing intern, marketing strategy intern, operations intern, HR intern, etc. Companies are mentioned above
Placement Experience
SIMSREE offers placements for both Summers and Executive placements. Big brands like JPMC, EY, Barclays, Jio, GEP, TCS, Citi, etc. visit the campus every year to recruit our students for both, summer internships and executive placements. The highest stipend offered for Summers is 1.5 Lakhs and that for Executive placements was Rs. 20 Lakhs for the batch of 2019-2021. The average executive placement was Rs. 12.2 Lakhs p.a. which is on par or more than most of the baby/new IIMs. Finance is the most preferred specialization and the placements follow that trend.
Fees and Financial Aid
As mentioned, the fee is extremely low at Rs. 69,000 p.a for general students and even lower for other category students. And on top of that, scholarships do exist to ease out that burden too. There are students who cover their fee amount in their Summer Internship itself and the rest just cover it within 1-2 months of their jobs.
Campus Life
Due to COVID-19, there's no such thing left called "campus life", but the student body has ensured that there are events organized virtually like the Sydenham Induction Awards, VIBE-21, etc. which has helped students bond and network despite not being able to meet in person. SIMSREE is a completely student-driven college wherein everything from scheduling lectures to events to placements are done "by the students - for the students". This gives us management lessons and helps build interpersonal skills required in the corporate world
