I was pursuing my CA at that point of time, that is why I had to go for a non-regular college. There was no special examination held for tha admission. We just needed to fulfill the criteria based on our 10th and 12th marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was pretty good. Subjects in the first year was mainly to strengthen the basics of the students. The subjects consisted of two compulsary languages i.e. Hindi and English and students had to choose others as per their opinion.
Internships Opportunities
I am not entirely sure about the internship program of SOLDU. As far as I know there is none at least I think so. Companies usually recruits the students from regular colleges.
Placement Experience
I think there are some companies who recruits from non-regular college, but then also they just pick up the creamy layer. Students with average marks are not even considered for these kind of opportunities. The stipend for a graduate fresher is round 12k to 15k.
College Events
This is the best part of being in a college. All these events, doesn't matter whether it is technical or cultural makes a student feels like he/she is part of something big. The events are held on a regular basis. Each differs from another in many ways. Therefore, everyone gets a chance to show his/her talents through one of the many events.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I did not avail this kind of any facility nor did I know about this.
Exam Structure
Exams are held annually. So there is no work pressure as such on the students if they keep preparing the syllabus simultaneously. As I am enrolled in B.Com, there are no labs for me do not know about other streams though.
Faculty
Unfortunately, as the classes were not held regularly, the faculty or the teachers were not that great. This was maybe due to the fact that most of the students did not use to come to the classes. As a result, teachers took these classes as compared to their regular classes.
