The admission process at IMS starts with a Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview. IMS is a 30 years old flagship institute of the IMS Group of Institutions. It has a rich Alumni base of 6000+ holding senior and top positions at the corporate. It has been ranked 11th Top private B-school in North Zone and 8th in Delhi NCR by the week B-school survey November 2020.

I have chosen this PGDM course because it is Industry-oriented course and helps the students to get a meteoric rise in the career. The Faculty: Student ratio stands around 2:10. Besides, the faculties at IMS are well qualified from reputed institutions such as IITs, XLRI, FMS and many more. The teaching method is outcome oriented learning where both the teaching and examinations procedure is based on Blooms Taxonomy. Exams are mostly conducted trimester-wise. Each year is comprised of 3 trimesters. And it is not that tough to pass. If the students do focus on regular classes, then they can easily clear the exams.

Companies such as ITC Limited, Bridge Group solutions and TATA AIG have visited the Campus to date to offer Internships with a stipend ranging from 5000 to 10000. IMS provides paid Internship to 100% of students in reputed organizations on a PAN India basis.

From the 5th Semester, the student does become eligible for the Campus placements. Companies such as ITC Limited, Dabur India, Protiviti, Edelweiss, Colgate, E&Y, Amul, Berger and many more have visited the campus. Last year, 367 job offers were made from 165 companies that had a diverse set of portfolios across multiple domains to the students. Highest International Package - 16.69 LPA, Highest Domestic Package - 12 LPA, Average Annual Package (Top 50 Students) - 9+ LPA, Almost most of the students at IMS gets placed.

The cost of study at IMS stands at 795000/- The scholarship is given to the students based on the following basis: a. CAT/CMAT Score > 80 percentile - 20% of the tuition fee. b. CAT/CMAT Score between 70 and 80 percentile - 10% of the tuition fee. c. MAT score > 90 percentile - 20% of the tuition fee. d. MAT score between 80 & 90 percentile - 10% of the tuition fee. There is a special scholarship of 25000 for the girl child.

The Institute does conduct cultural fest and academic fest. Presently, the library has a collection of over 44000 books, a subscription of over 150 national international print journals of repute and 5000 e-journals in the area of management and information technology.

The topics for the Group Discussion is mainly based on current affairs topics followed by a Personal Interview. For getting admission at IMS, the students must have a valid CAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT or any other qualifying exam scorecard. The final selection criteria are as following: Academic performance (10th, 12th & Grad.) - 20%, Test Score (CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT) - 20%, Group Case Discussion/Extempore- 25%, Personal Interview- 25%, Written Aptitude Test- 10%, Yes, I did prepare a bit for these rounds.
