Remarks
The good aspects of the college are its very qualified and renowned faculty from Indian as well as International origin. The 100% of faculty at GLIM are recipients of doctoral degrees and many of them have industry experience of more than 10 years. The other most significant aspect is its campus which is spread across seven acres and has many recreational facilities within the campus. The cons include the non availability of any scholarship or fee waiver for students. It accepts the scores of CAT, XAT, GMAT and CMAT.
Course Curriculum Overview
The institute offers specialization in marketing, finance, OB-HR, Operations, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning as well as data analytics. The exams are held on a trimester basis and each term has a midterm and end-term exam. The student-faculty ratio is 18:1. The exams are held on a scheduled basis.
Internships Opportunities
Total batch manages to get a paid internship. The average stipend offered is Rs.84000. The highest stipend is Rs 3.38 lakhs. The key recruiters include Ford, Outlook, Karls Store, Ninjacart, Bridgestone, Infosys, ITC, Nestle etc.
Placement Experience
The % of offers made in BFSI- 38.5%,Consulting- 8.3%, FMCG- 6.4%, financial services- 5.5%, IT/ITES- 24.8%, healthcare & pharmaceutical , manufacturing- 5.5% and Sales & Marketing-35.8%.The average placement is Rs. 10.67 lakhs and the highest placement is around Rs. 22 lakhs. The key recruiters include McKinsey, JP Morgan, ICICI Bank, Nippon, ITC, HSBC Technologies and Dell etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are around 19 lakhs. The loans can be obtained very easily. The students need to apply to desired banks for loans by registering on the VidyaLakshmi portal. The college is ranked 'A' on the portal. The fees include housing and food expenditure. There is no scholarship available to students.
Campus Life
The classrooms are technology embedded and wi-fi enabled. There are many recreational facilities along with health care facilities for students' access. The library consists of recourses for all domains. Students also have access to live database, journals and case studies from Harvard University. Sports competitions are held at an event called L'Attitude. Cultural events are held at a very enthralling fest called 'Sanghmitra'. The students club include the marketing club, editorial team, film appreciation club etc.
Interview Experience
There are no written test and group discussion rounds in the selection criteria of the institute. The PI round is held at many allocated centres as well as in college. My interview was held in New Delhi. The interview questions included: Why MBA if I can continue running my family business, few questions related to my graduation, my hobbies, my view on reservation and quota system in college based on gender and about the works I did in an NGO I am committed to to to with. It advised to read daily, stay updated with daily new and brush your basics well.
