Yes. The College then started with working while you earn concept. So there was a new concept introduced of working for 2 years while you pursue your MBA from the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Wigan's fee structure is most reasonable and value for money. There is a pound component that goes straight to the UK. In 1999, when i enrolled for 4 yr Integrated PGDBM (MBA) my fee was a total of Rs. 2 lakh plus. While Amity was charging Rs. 5 lakhs for a similar course.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, there were some scholarships but i wasn't eligible for them. Also for all students there was a choice to complete the course in UK, by spending last six months there in the UK campus.
Campus Life
Yes we used to have debates on weekends. Also there was a sports festival that was arranged in Saket Sports Complex, that ran for a week. I remember participating in races and badminton matches. There were cricket matches that took places.
Exam Structure
Well, in PG every day is an exam. As there is a daily marking approach. The daily assessment counts for 60% weightage and exams 40%. Every day we use to rush to our classes by 8 AM and use to get a case study to solve in a group, in just 15 minutes.
Faculty
Great faculty. Mostly visiting faculty then. But since they were part timers and from Industry it was a huge help. The guest lectures were particularly good. The college developed its faculty over time, and continued to optimize on visiting faculty tapping a vast pool of industry professionals.
