My view on my college

There are a lot of politics inside management which hampers students. Please stop faculty politics and focus on students growth and placement.

I took O-JEE exam and i got 3000 rank in Odisha. I choose this college because according to my rank and branch preference it was better then other colleges.It was 3rd best private engineering college at that time.

The course actually designed by the BPUT university not by the college. Still college has a good structure and format to deliver the course in a better way.The faculties were very god in yearly years(1st and 2nd year of the engineering).From the research prospective one cant be satisfied here.

No my college doesn't provide any internship. During our 3rd year we go to other institutes for internship.

Placement was not so great. Some of the well known company came like infosys,wipro,coca cola,jindal etc.Around 50% student got placement through campus drive.below are the company and offer. Infosys 3.25 lac/anum, wipro 3.25 lac/anum, coca cola-2.7 lac/anum, jindal 2.8 lac/anum.

Technical: We do tech-fest every year.This technical festival includes robotics,ship making, and other tecnical events, Cultural: In cultural events dance,act,song,band etc performed, Management: In tech fest some time is dedicated to management events like add made. The participation was good. Students of other colleges participate in the events.students more then 15 colleges participate in the event.

Its feasible at our time in 2010, Course fee 55 k per anum(includes library fee), hostel fee 40 k per anum, trans port 10 k per anum, others 7 k per anum, Staying in hostel is optional.bus facility is provided by college for the students staying in hostel.

Scholar ship of 10 k per year is provided to the sc st students by university. The recommendation for the student is given by college. Sometimes college give scholarship for study tour and internship. But overall its very less we can't count the expect much more scholarship from the college.

Good number of girls study with boys. The girls percentage is 45% while boys are 55%. But its not uniform across all branches. Mechanical branch contains 30% girls while computer science branch contains around 55% of girls. There is no biasing on the basis of gender/cast/color/race/religion etc.Student politics is not allowed in the college.

Hostel is consist of 1/2/3/4 sharing and all have same price i.e; 40 k per anum. both veg and non veg food is provided. Some hostels are inside the campus and some are outside the campus. Bus facility was provided by college for the students who are staying in hostels, out side the campus. Food is served 3 times per day.chicken is served 2 times per week,egg 2 times and fish 1 times per week.

We have a alumni club which organize festivals and some events every year. Some of ex lecturers are also the member of the club.

Exam structure was very strict. You cant miss any lab or exam. These 2 things are taken very strictly in the college. If you miss lab then you have to join a repeat lab class else you will loose marks in exam. Overall it was hectic.I remember some students were not allowed to sit in the final exam as they have not sufficient attendance in lab.

The faculties who taught us in 1st year and 2nd year were really great. Rest 2 years are of average kind.But I cant ignore some faculty who are world class.I remember one of our lecture joined Bits Pilani as a professor.20% of faculties are highly qualified while 40% are average kind and 40% are less then average.
