Remarks
I wanted to do B.Pharma to learn about various medicines and obviously an intent to get a pharmacist license in future. It is situated in the beautiful University Campus. I appeared for its Entrance Exam and got admission intent from the college. Having a Non-Medical background, I didn't have any other option. Attending a campus, and living hostel life attracts many youngsters. So, I choose this college. I was all clear throughout, won many quizzes and sports competition. It made me a decent person in all aspects. Cons: Everything is at a normal pace. Faculty, studies, Extracurricular activities etc. Though there is a placement cell of University, Department placement society isn't there. Majority crowd is from Haryana, compulsory attendance and supplementary exam fees. Pros: Basic Experiment laboratories, University Life, Big Sports Stadium, the plethora of opportunities in sports, Green and Clean Campus, Coffee points, Riverside Park Central Library Not expensive etc. It is overall 6/10.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is fantastic but implementation is not so good. Because of the quality of students faculty also get relaxed sometimes. But, they make sure syllabus gets completed and on time. Sometimes lectures are shorter, sometimes extra lecture is there for weak students. You get all basic chemicals in laboratories and even faculty support you if you want to carry out some innovation or learn something new. Some of the Faculties are good mentor, some are just doing their job.
Placement Experience
Placements stats are poor. However, people find ways. Some are abroad, some have opted for masters and some are working in manufacturing. Some like challenges and are happily working in Marketing as MR.
Fees and Financial Aid
All sorts of assistance are provided to the economically weaker section. Fee kept increasing. During my course, it was around 2.5 lacs for 4 years. Its semi government funded department. Campus Jobs is an issue. You need to be active of LinkedIn, Naukari.com and other social media. A good dedicated training and placement cell will solve this problem. Student can ask the Director to set up such a cell in the department.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is awesome. You get plenty of parks for couples, coffee and lunch joints for social birds and sports stadium for sports Enthusiast. Other than that, there are some university-level social groups like NSS, Red Cross, and department level social groups also there. In the Department library, you can find the majority of books. Student clubs are not that strong in university due to limited funds available, however, faculty don't stop you from any kind extracurricular activities if you are good in studies and attend a good number of lectures.
Hostel Facilities
Fantastic rooms, food was 50:50, sometimes good sometimes okay. It was affordable and of good quality. Washrooms were clean and galleries were full of noise all time. Everything bad thing is banned inside the campus but students find ways to avoid authorities.
