LOYOLA COLLEGE, Chennai is the very oldest college in Chennai celebrating 96th year not only that stands 6th place in NIRF ranking for the past few years. My main reason was Loyola college offer many opportunities and explore students and provide various amenities The college provides 75% placement under major criteria such as: The student must have 60% or more without arrears, The student must be disciplined and must not have low attendance, Companies will start hiring students from the beginning of 3rd year, Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, Goldman Sachs, federal bank, Larsen and turbo, and many hire students Those companies provide an average package of 3-4 LPA. Last year federal bank hired a student offering 10LPA. The college has a canteen with various outlets, playground for students playing volleyball, cricket football, Khabadi and encourages indoor games like tables tennis etc. The teacher is well experienced in teaching. Application form cost rupees 150/shift 1 and 300/shift 2.

I didn't actually want to choose but for safety, I applied for a Computer Science course, I was interested in doing BBA but unfortunately, I was not eligible since I am a science student. Professors are good; some faculty are strict; some faculty are friendly students and faculty are having a very good rapport with friendly type faculty's. In my knowledge faculty's had done PhD degree in their stream. I am not aware of other department faculty's. In exam wise they are very strict and every student must take the minimum pass mark of 20/50.

Students are eligible from 3rd year to apply at placement cell. More than 73 companies visited, some of the companies are Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, L&T, Federal bank, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs and many more. The highest package was 10LPA Offered by the federal bank. And the average package was 3-4LPA. 60-75%of students get placed under the college conditions. My plan after getting a degree is studying MS in the same college.

Loyola college had arranged a system for economically weaker students SC/ST Students that is LSSS. When student reach this office for the financial help they would they definitely help them, For every department Shift 1 student having fee structure as 11000-15000/semester, For Shift 2 students having fee structure as 47000-75000/semester.

The library is an important learning resource. With a stock of 1,22,605 books under 75000 titles, 253 journals and over 7000 e-journals. Every department has already 1 laptop and an LCD projector. The 12 smart classrooms and the air-conditioned meeting halls create an enabling environment for learning and discussion. There are separate grounds for hockey, football and cricket. There are 2 badminton courts, 3 table tennis courts, volleyball courts and basketball courts respectively. An indoor fitness centre, with modern equipment with 12 workstations is also available. Carrom, chess, are part of indoor games facilities. Various Clubs are DEBATING SOCIETY AND QUIZ CLUB, PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB, HEALTH AND WELLNESS, PRESS CLUB, PROLIFE, ENACTUS, LOYOLA COMMUNITY RADIO, NCC NAVY, NCC ARMY, NCC AIR FORCE, RESOURCE CENTER FOR THE DIFFERENTLY-ABLED, DEAN OF WOMEN STUDENTS OFFICE, STUDENTS UNION.
