Entrance Preview

I gave CLAT(common law admission test) and my score was 153 . My AIR-234 i opted this college because it is one of the top three law schools of india and it is in calcutta.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college do provide internship. Stipend provided by the top law firms under which you intern is 60k for 3 months internship in their firm.

Placement Experience

4.5

Best placement 90% of student get placement in good law firms there are lots of pass outs of college who are doing really well in their field and they are being placed under international law firms with package as high as 50 lacs normally avg. Of our college placement is 12 lakh.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive for me I don't know about others u can get the full detail of fee structure from nujs website. In total nujs has annual fee of rupees 2.5 lakh along with all the hostel and mess deposits and it provides good mess food and clean hostels.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes our college provides merit cum means scholarship for the weaker sections of the society and various schorpship for physically handicapped and meritorious students is also available.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio of my batch is pretty decent and same goes with other batches also there is ratio of 7:6 of boys and girls in our college . Our culture is a mixed culture there are rare incidents of any cultural conflicts student live hostels amicably they enjoy their sense of Identity i.e. nujs family our college is like a family to us.

Hostel Facilities

4

College has capacity to accommodate all of students except local people college hostel can accommodate 500 people both girls and boys hostel including their is two types of occupancy double occupancy for 1st and 2nd years and after 3rd year their is single occupancy for all.

Exam Structure

We have semesters system and we need to clear 12 exams per year and we also have a mooting culture going on in our college people go to various international mooting competitions and so basically .It is a pretty chilled out college and students have the opportunity to pursue their areas of interests.

Admission

I got admission in this institution through a highly competitive exam named as CLAT full form I have mentioned above. It is a highly competitive exam given by around 50k students all over India and only top 200 get admission in top three law school so basically you can compare this with IITs and IIMs.

Faculty

4

Faculty in our college is one the best in law school circuit and Socrates methodology of teaching is followed in the law school college encourage students to give presentations and their is involvement of student and faculty in the area of research. According to me faculty if my college is best their are professors who have graduated from Berkeley's and oxford.

Starting from our 3rd semester we will start to appear in various kind of internships there are so many big corporate law companies who came and hires from our universities. As our seniors got jobs this year the highest package is 50000 per month and she is currently working in a corporate law sector. Almost 72 to 80% students get placements. After getting my degree I will apply for internships and at the same time I think I will apply for masters program too.

Reviewed on Sep 7, 2022(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen B.A.LLB(Hons.) because I want to have knowledge of law because laws form the basis of society. Moreover, I had an Arts Background therefore, it was a good combination for me to explore and go according to my desired path of career. The count of faculty members of IILS is an approximation of 20-30 teachers and the students each semester is near about 70-100. The teachers are truly well versed in their respective subjects and they're immensely knowledgeable and friendly, they try hard to make us understand in the easiest manner. But the only problem is that the faculties are not permanent, it keeps on changing. The term examinations were always on time except for the lockdown time but this was also managed smoothly within time. In order to know the difficulties I would share a fact and i.e., when I took admission in my Institute there was a total number of 140 students in my semester but no sooner than the first exam held half of them failed and now we're 70 of us.
