Remarks

I got admission to this college through my MH CET score in my first round of admission process and according to my merit. It took almost a week to get admission to this college. I got admission to this college on 4th august 2016. My college started on 8th august 2016. Reason for choosing this college. This college was better than its main college AISSMS COE and also the infrastructure of this college was good, hence I preferred this college for admission. I referred to some of my friends and family members before selecting this college. Good aspects- College has good infrastructure, it has WiFi on each floor. Teaching quality is good. There are separate practical labs for each subject. College placements are average i.e majority of students are placed for (3-3.5lacs). College hosts an event alacrity which is one of the biggest events in the Pune city. Bad aspects- Some subject teachers are not good at teaching. The office staff is sometimes rude i.e they don't provide the documents on time.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Student ratio is 50:10. Every student had to present some topic of a subject to the whole class for understanding purpose. I chose computer engineering course because I liked this field. Faculty of computer engineering is quite good. 3-4 teachers have done a PhD. Others have an MTech degree. Hod is good and also teaches well. Some teachers are very strict with their courses. Every subject teacher used to teach 1 hr every day. College wants 75 percent attendance otherwise there will be penalty (like giving bond, or extra assignment, or fee). Exams were conducted semester wise. In every semester there will be 2-3 practicals and one Inseam exam and one Endsem exam. The practicals are tough in some semesters like Microprocessor in 4th sem is tough. The difficulty of end sem exams are moderate to difficult depending on semesters.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship opportunities are provided by the college in 3rd or 4th year. It depends on the students score. If he is in top10 then there are chances of getting an internship. The student has to coordinate with T&P coordinator for internship purpose. No stipends are provided for an internship. In my term Tech Mahindra and digital main gave internships to 25 students. Projects are dependent on various fields like ML, AI, AR/VR.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 4th year students are eligible for campus placements. Every month 2-3 companies come for placements. 100+ companies have visited the college for placements. My department (computer) has 96% placed students in various companies. Highest package is around 9lpa and average package is 3.5 LPA. I have got my degree and I'm placed in TCS. Some students also opt for higher studies like GRE or GATE or CAT.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were moderate around 80000-85000 for each year. The college provides a scholarship for different category of people. For EBC scholarship only half fees need to be paid. For SC, ST the fees are less. The college provides loan assistance also to students who cannot pay fees on time. Separate exam form fees need to be paid every semester to university for giving the exam. Some department may provide internship to students but the stipend is not there. In my department (computer) they did provide internship in tech Mahindra and one small startup company for top 10 students. I got a job in TCS through campus only. The company that T&P provides to us offers the average package (3-3.5 LPA).

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest is Alacrity which is very much famous in Pune city, almost the majority of students from other colleges participate in this event. This fest is conducted in the month of February every year for 3 days. Tech fest is there which is inter-department like for computer it is CESA. This is conducted in October or November every year for 2-3 days. 80 percent of classrooms have a projector with speakers. There is one multipurpose hall where facilitation and conferences are conducted. There are various clubs also like IEEE club and others. The sports section is there where a student can play games like table tennis, basketball, cricket. Our college has won many inter-college cricket tournaments.
