Akshay Gangadharan's Review On Pillai College Of Engineering - [PCE] Navi Mumbai, Mumbai

I took admission through MHTCET. My score was 103. I got admission also on the basis of Malayalam minority. This college is one of the best college in Navi Mumbai especially for Mechanical engineering.

The course is good. It requires alot of concentration to achieve success. The stream choosen by me is mechanical engineering and it requires a great effort in order achieve succes in the same.The course curriculum is balanced with both written and oral examinations.

They provide. But not yet taken any. Internships start for the final year students. So no idea about it.

The placements in this college is average. 70% students get placed. The college is famous for Mechanical Engineering but the placements for the same is not upto the mark. This year the highest placement was of 4.5 lakhs per annum. The placements are improving every year and the placement cell of Pillai is very encouraging and supportive.

The fees structure is feasible.It is 1,10000 per annum. It is feasible in comparison to other colleges. The hostel fees is high but the facilities provided is very dissappointing. The food is not up to the mark and there is no laundry facilities, so the life in hostel is hectic. The only thing good here is the friends you make.

There are many scholarship facilities availed by the college. The scholarships start after the first semester. So till now no idea about the same.

There are total 8 semesters, 2 in each year and also some internal exams and viva.These internal assesments also depend upon the submission of your assignments and project.The scenario is hectic due to submissions and other internal exams but it is needed in order to become a good engineer.

I took admission to this college through MHTCET and Malayalam minority.The admission was done through DTE. Everything was online this year as a result there was no complications. I got admission to my desired college and course in the first round itself.

Supportive and good knowledge about the subject. There are senior faculties with good knowledge. Some of the faculties are not cooperative and lack in knowledge. They try hard to complete the portions on time. The best part is the faculties of Mechanical department are highly qualified and well experienced.
