My college experience

First of all, I think it a great college in aspects of teachers, studies, cultural activities. Second of all, it lacks severely for infrastructure and campus facilities. It is a very old building, it feels like we're at home in a very homely environment. The washrooms are okay, not that good. But apart from infrastructure, it is very good in its academics like very friendly teachers, doubt solving is good they guide us for different exams like GATE etc. The main and most important aspect of this college and university is that it is only for women, which is a very good point when it comes to parents and safety and hostel issues. We have a hostel which is good for many students from various parts from India come here for studying.

I chose this course because I was very passionate about technology and the IT world. The faculty here is very experienced and trained. Faculty is very interactive with students regarding exams, doubt solving etc. Most of the teachers are masters and doctorates in their own teaching fields.The teaching method is quite old I must say like the normal chalkboard method during lectures, but during the lab, they resort to computers.I think they should consider a smart class. There is 2 semester during the year they papers are set by the university and corrected by university too.

Companies like my captain, Flipkart etc. offers on-campus and off-campus internships with a minimum stipend based on work. The projects are like basic ones considering the year in which students are, the more you know the more you get.

From 3rd year students can be placed in various companies. The companies like Barclays, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Flipkart, Microsoft etc. And many offers were made. The highest offer is 100000 and average is 25000 for freshers. Placement percent is 90%. My plan is to do a Masters from abroad.

The fees are approx.180000 per year, including everything it goes to 190000 per year. The scholarship is not given through college but you can search for various scholarship on vidyasaarthi portal online. No financial assistance is given and no jobs on campus.

ARCANE is the annual fest and there are approx.6 fests over the year conducted by various committees of the college. There are plenty of books and journals in the library. The classrooms are very big and spacious and they have fans and lots of windows and they desks are like school. There are various sports and extracurricular activities in college. There are committee's like IEEE, CSI, ACM, STUDENT COUNCIL, SPORTS COUNCIL, NSS etc of which students can be members of and can also be in the organizing committee of each.
