St. Albert's College Ernakulam, BBA, General

Reviewed on Oct 17, 2020

Remarks

The college was well known for it's academics, which was one such factor that drove me towards this college. The thing that i like most about this college has to be the teachers, most of them had pretty much progressive thought process which infact helped me to be vocal about my ideologies. Talking about the course, business field is something that has always intrigued me, which made me opt for BBA.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus were updated on an annual basis The college provided me with enough industrial exposure, i attended two internships and two IV in duration of three years of course The facilities were good enough, except a few.

Class Size: 14Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

Vipro was one of the major company that visited along with few other companies The opportunities were mostly for the commerce and management students.

College Events

I had pretty decent campus life. The college was really good academically. The college used to conduct cultural fest on a weekly basis but still it wasn't that huge or great. The extracurricular aspect of college was quite exasperating. It wasn't given enough importance.

Fees and Financial Aid

E- grant It is a web based solutions for timely disbursement of educational assistance to all the post matric students of SC, ST, OBC as well as economically weaker sections of society in Kerala.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Admission process Little bit hard. because our college is one of the best in the state and district. also it's autonomous so they have their own process for admissions. after applying for allotment they'll publish the ranklist and who have more ranks will get the admission upto the course they applied. eg; if the girl who had rank 1 was not there in admission time. the seat will directly go to 2nd rank person. I also applied in various colleges but only BBA. and got into BMC college Aluva, and also got admission in KMM Thrikakara, Even i got in to one of my dream college Secred Heart College Thevara . but I still chooses st.alberts college Because I already took admission in Here...Read More
