Remarks
I was impressed by the wide variety of subjects that were offered by the college. When I checked the brochure and the website, I was fascinated by the number of clubs and other student opportunities that were present. I liked the 100% placement trend and the study abroad program. I opted for CSE because I was interested in programming and it is the most upcoming field and I had got a good enough rank to get into that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is really good. There is focus on computer based subjects such as data structures, programming languages like C, C++, etc since the first year. We also get trained to in placement courses such as Professional Skills, Aptitude, Management etc which have been great at providing exposure and a good idea of upcoming exams. Yes, we have opportunities for internships and courses from 3rd year. As for industrial exposure we are taught Civil and Mechanical and other outdoor courses such as yoga, NSS, NSO, etc. A very good faculty which comes to mind is Ms Sasi Rekha. She is quiet clear in her subject and has a great teaching style. Her classes are really informative and interactive ad we get to learn a lot.
Placement Experience
The placements in my college are really impressive with around 60-85% placement every year. Many companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Apollo, Cognizant and many more. The offers range from an average of 3.5-4 lpa to super dream packages being more than 20lpa. The placement of CSE department is the best followed by ECE and EEE and for other departments it is not that great. The alumni network is really effective as they often come to college and share about their experiences and even offer jobs to the new batches.
College Events
The campus life is really good with good exposure in the form of technical and cultural fests and clubs. Throughout the year many webinars, tech-fests, hackathons etc. and we have two major events Aarush and Milan which are really fun and also very informative. At least 1000 people participate in these fests every year and even students from other colleges come in.
