Being a co-educational institution, the college is committed to gender parity and communal harmony. Special provisions for SC/ST and other category students in academics. Well equipped hostel for Male Students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The sports wing of the college provides ample opportunities to develop sportsmanship by involving the students in various State and National level Meets. Educational / Subject tours conducted for students of the College. Alumni Meets organized by the College. Remedial classes conducted on regular basis for weak students. Guest/ Expert Faculty regularly invited for delivering lecturers.

Course Fees: INR 16750 per year

Placement Experience

Till 2018 only 2-3 companies visited the campus but now the training and placement committee has been set up and provides a lot of opportunities for the students to get placed in companies.

College Events

This course is very popular in this college and the faculty is very good, the teaching method is excellent and they use chalk and blackboard properly to teach practical subjects like accounts, statistics etc. The college usually bot takes internal exams.

MY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE: A COMPLETE REVIEW OF DOGRA COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course includes subjects that are beneficial for me. For example: Gender and Society – teaches me about society’s orthodox traditions and norms. Indian Knowledge System – explains how India’s knowledge has evolved over time. Literature – provides an overview of English literature, excluding stories and poems, and focuses only on the parts that are useful for us. Environmental Studies – gives knowledge about our surroundings, including living and non-living things. Political Science – a systematic study of the structure and behavior of the state and political institutions. Logical Reasoning – the best part of the course, very useful for our knowledge as well as civil services and defense exams. Law and Society – will help me in my further studies in law. Personally, the two specific subjects that made me choose this course were Law and Society and Logical Reasoning, because these subjects are rarely available elsewhere and will be very beneficial for me. The teachers are good at teaching, but there is a need to make changes in the teaching methods. As of now, there are only blackboards or whiteboards, whereas instead there should be smart panels, which would make learning more interactive and keep students engaged. Exams are held about two months after the semester begins — first internals and then externals. There is generally a two-month gap between the two. I believe the difficulty level depends on how deeply we understand the concepts and how well we prepare, although overall the difficulty is usually easy to moderate.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

in jammu i chose this college because it is coeducation and in the other college coeducation is not available and in some the distance is far from my home. that's why i chose this college and to be honest that i selected this college is that it is near my computer classes. no i don't get rejection from other colleges i applied to. even i passed the cuet entrance test where i got good marks but due to personal reasons i didn't go for study outside jammu. i always feels regret for this. but in this college the admission is on my merit based not on any entrance test. first admision is on the basis of merit then on the basis of cuet entrance test .
