Remarks
Firstly, Food Courses are limited and secondly ADIT provides BE in Food Processing Technology so that's more engineering based rather than agricultural. Moreover, the faculties here of this department are immensely knowledgeable and have an experience of at least 15 years in the industry. And at the same time, this course is limited and ever-demanding so students of this stream are most likely to get employed.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty good which is designed by the faculties that have years of hands-on experience in the food industry. Last semester of the course involves an industrial training of 96 working days which is a great opportunity for students to learn how practically the industry is working and gives them a needful exposure. Each and every faculty of the department have at least 15 years of experience in the industry. Mishra Sir and Head of department Srivastav Sir are powerhouse of knowledge and are very good personalities that have great vision. Ganorkar sir is way too good when it comes to industrial knowledge and Food security.
Internships Opportunities
I had 2 internships and both didn't pay any stipend. One was in Food and drugs laboratory which is a government laboratory which carries out various tests to confirm every detail claimed by the company and cross-check for the presence of any adulteration. It was a 10-days internship. Second was of 96 working days in Havmor Ice-cream Pvt Ltd. Havmor Ice-cream Pvt Ltd is a renowned ice-cream industry with maximum number of varieties and known for its quality.
Placement Experience
Companies like Amul, Sigachi, Byjus, Hyfun foods, Sursagar Dairy have visited for campus placements. Our alumni are present in most of the food industries like monginis, Havmor Ice-cream Pvt Ltd, Amul, Coca-Cola beverages, Ramdev foods, Global gourmet, Sumul etc. They are a great helping hand for any recommendations.
College Events
The institution is active in every aspect of events. Be it cultural, festivals or sports. It not only emphasizes on academics but also promotes overall development of students. Tech fest and goonj night is something that every student of ADIT awaits. Cultural and sports faculties are very enthusiastic.
Fees and Financial Aid
If your science percentile is above 80 in 12th, you can claim MYSY scholarship and you will be eligible to get 50% scholarship from the government. There are other scholarships too if you secure 1st position in the state.
Campus Life
The labs are well quipped. Infrastructure is tremendous and everything is accessible nearby. Library is also good having a nice collection and a great sitting arrangement where you can spend hours reading. Overall the college infrastructure has a very good vibe.
