Remarks

The brand name to KIIT is massive. It is well known among all people throughout the nation. It is also an Institute Of Eminence(IOE).The college provides a 100% placement in the B.Tech course will an average salary of 3.4-4 lakh per annum. Moreover, the highest package of the 2019 batch was 39 lakhs per annum given by Adobe. In 2020,due to the effect of coronavirus pandemic the highest package of this college has dropped to 30 lakhs per annum(given by Amazon),still that's a massive package. Moreover,my rank was under 1000,which also made be to get a scholarship of Rs. 10,000 per month for the entire 4 years, all these were the driving forces behind me joining this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of KIIT is updated each and every year keeping in mind the present demand in the market and the company. This also helps us to prepare for future competitive exams like GATE. Almost each and every subject taught by my college is associated with lab with essential gradings in credit points, thus,I can say that we were provided proper industrial exposure for sure. Most of the faculties of this college are Phd. holders from the IITs and other major colleges of India, there are also a few faculties who were students of foreign universities, this also provides the necessary exposure to foreign methodology and techniques of training. Some great teachers such as Dr. Arup Acharya(DSA), Dr. Amulya Ratna Swain(DSA), Prof. Tanmaya Swain(OOP), Dr. Manoranjan Sahoo(Economics), Dr. Birupakhya Prasad Padhy(Mathematics) are just gems.

Internships Opportunities

No,I haven't opted for one yet.

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
