I always wanted to become a doctor from my childhood hence i chose MBBS.This college was the oldest private medical college in pondicherry. Also donation was way lesser than compared to other medical colleges in Tamil nadu and Puducherry.
Course Curriculum Overview
The MBBs course and the curriculum was all set by MCI (Medical council of India).The facilities of Anatomy, Pharmacology, General medicine, Orthopaedics and ENT was good. Rest of the departments had some good profeesors also.
Internships Opportunities
Internships was offered in our own college hospital itself after the completion of the course with a monthly stipend of 5000.Since the patient inflow is less in the college hospital, we could not gain much of a experience from it.
College Events
The campus life was very enjoyable since the MBBS course is 4.5 years long. We are motivated to participate in all other culturals and sports competitions happening outside the college. The management was very helpful in that aspect. The only culturals which happens in our college is the College day which happens in our little auditorium. Other colleges are not allowed to participate in our culturals though. But sure it was a wonderful experience.
Campus Life
Our College infrastructure is the main drawback when it comes to a Medical college. Although the campus has full wifi facilities. It is very small when compared to other medical colleges. Library also needs to get updated with more publications. Biochemistry and Microbiology labs are substandard.Except the indoor auditorium and a little tennis court sports facilities are not that great.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in my college hostel only in my 1st year. It was not so strict and the hostel rooms are sharing types with 2-3 people in one room. The toilets where common for all though. But it was cleanly maintained daily. Hostel food was not so good in taste, but the management was listening to our comments to improve the taste and quality of the Hostel food.
