Remarks

The main mission is to empower the women through higher education. Growth and development of students and to train them to face the challenges in life successfully. The college has a very clean and good campus. They have facilities such as, libraries, laboratories etc.

I chose this course because of my interest. The teacher-student ratio is 1:35. The teachers are very experienced and qualified, who explains in a very simple and interesting manner which keeps the students focused and helps them understand easily.

Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college provides many internships for students to get experience. Some of the internships are mandatory if you have taken that particular subject, for instance, if you take a CD subject you have to do a mandatory internship in SY.

Placement Experience

After TY students become eligible for campus placements. I don't know much about placements as I am an SY student, but I have heard that college provides good placement opportunities and teachers also guide throughout the placement process.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite affordable. The college also provides installment option as well as scholarships. There are many job opportunities with good salaries. Many companies come to the college campus for placements.

The library has a wide range of books. You can get study related books, magazines, journals, storybooks, etc. The psychology department conducts 'psychophonics' every year as well as different events conducted by other departments. The college organizes an annual day, sports day, etc every year

Wilson College: An Honest Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested in Psychology which is why I opted for this course. Social psychology was especially very interesting to me. The curriculum is good when it comes to future prospects of giving competitive exams. However, it doesn't prepare you a lot for real-life applications as much. The course can definitely include more practical experiments which would make the subject more interesting. Better assignments/projects would also be beneficial. The exams were twice in a year. They weren't very difficult and easy to clear if one studied the portion well. However, I do feel that the exam pattern could be more application-based.
